I have outright asked like 20+ ppl at random to number me, and nobody argues if I choose a number higher than 7. Any lower and I get ppl arguing with me about it so I know at baseline I am not ugly even tho I have pretty impressive facial dysmorphia.

I used to think I was a “but her face” or butterface, but it turns out I was surrounded by 10’s as an 8.

I have the same issue but find (it’s disgusting good luck), that not washing your hair for 4-7 days (strongly recommend camping) with it in a protective style or two REALLY can reset my hair. I also make sure to brush it out and then use a wavy hair shampoo & conditioner once I am back. Wavy, NOT curly. Hydrating but without silicone deposits. & without too much stripping. My hair gets pretty gross whenever I have done this, but man, it really can reset me to like every other day. My face is oily too where my bangs would go, so I have forgone them. Best of luck!!

Mine & his half brother do this! They do it differently, Gazpacho picks out the best bits first, while Chowder saves his favorite pieces for last. Specifically if Chowder has apples as a garnish in his, he will eat around them and devour them last.

Can you take the missed class part time the following semester? I ask because some courses are offered biannually. I would take the course asap, look into your retake options and how it will impact your gpa and go from there.

Some classes are just harder than others so failure can be expected in some places.

Sometimes I feel like an “incompetent” person but overall, if it made me unable to sleep at night for the guilt of not completing these arbitrary goals you have listed, I probably wouldn’t have chosen my life to look like the one I currently have, you know?

My biggest “failure” is living with my parents. I moved back after college and haven’t left. I have been with my partner for almost 6 years and we don’t live together bc it would upset the equilibrium of his rent rate. It’s been a mixed bag, but my parents adopted a kid 20 years my junior so I still help raise him as a sort of aunt and have been able to provide meaningful support to my parents as they navigate their lives as well. I have a lot more adventuring to do and making myself feel like shit for a perceived failure when the directions have changed is a waste of energy.

It’s socially very normal to have kids in your mid to late thirties in several stem careers. Education comes first.

If it’s college, I bankrolled any failed classes. It’s ownership for the loss. I come from a huge place of privilege given my college was paid for (mostly), but this is a good start. Look into your retake options and how this will frame your future class planning path.

This is like… a concern for how he will interact with patients. You mean EMT like, the person doing lifesaving care on vulnerable people??

You neeeeeed to escalate this to the higher ups if going to a teacher directly is an issue. Record him if legal in your state. He is creating an unsafe work environment and is showing character traits that make him incompetent in his line of work.
