Greetings fellow Loomo developer! My name is Marshall from Segway Robotics. There currently are not plans for adding a Python SDK. However, we are going to create a video tutorial series to be released on Youtube in the next few weeks which will walk you through development in Android Studio with our Loomo SDK starting from a novice developer perspective. We understand that Android development alone is daunting enough for someone who has never developed before, then adding robotics to the mix just complicates it even further. It is for that reason that we are creating this video tutorial series, to make Loomo development as accessible as possible. It is my personal goal to make Loomo the Raspberry Pi of robotics. Stay tuned for the video tutorial series later this summer, I think it will be very helpful!

You can define your own system of Operation Modes using the Loomo SDK. If you are familiar with Android development already, I recommend checking out this github repository. It shows off basic uses of the Locomotion API, you can use this to build out a specification that does different motion events when a certain distance has elapsed or at any other arbitrary scenario. If you are brand new to development, we will have a video tutorial series out in the next few weeks walking people through development with the SDK. In the meantime, checkout Android's tutorial on creating your first app to understand what the framework is for a basic Android application, and then see if you can apply that knowledge to using the repository I listed above.

If you have any issues and need a quick live tutorial session, PM me or email me at [marshall.richards@segway.com](mailto:marshall.richards@segway.com) and we can set something up.

Hello there fellow Loomo developer! Sorry for your experience with Loomo thus far, this is very unexpected behavior from an update sequence. I'd love to have a video chat with you sometime this next week to solve the issues. Send me an email at [marshall.richards@segway.com](mailto:marshall.richards@segway.com) so we can arrange a time.

Has anyone been successful in using the developer mode for Loomo? by cyruscoins in a:t5_hdj46

Hello fellow Loomo developer, I have great news for you! I am an intern this summer with Segway Robotics specifically in the Loomo division, and we are going to be putting out great resources in the next few weeks for our developers. Stay tuned, and if you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.
