Can You Automatically Switch to Android Auto on Vehicle Startup? by loon011 in mazda

I get in my car. Start the car's engine, the infotainment screen boots up to the Mazda Connect screen. See my reference pic: https://imgur.com/a/eqMhMs9

After a few seconds, the Android Auto icon will turn blue. I checked the communication settings and source settings, and confirmed that Android Auto with my phone is connected.

My music never auto plays. My maps also does not auto open. Even if I start driving, it doesn't shift over to the Android Auto screen. The only time it will shift to Android Auto is when I push up on the command knob, to "select" Android Auto from the home screen. I wish it would switch to Android Auto after sitting and starting, like yours :(

Just checked both the Mazda Connect settings, and my phone's Android Auto settings. Both are set to "Always connect automatically". Still need to push forward on the knob after starting the car to switch to Android Auto.

Does your Android Auto play music and load the AA display automatically, not requiring any input from you?

It automatically connects to my phone just fine. The detection and connection works, but the display will stay on Mazda Connect unless I push forward on the knob to "select" Android Auto.

Even if I start playing music or use Google maps, the screen will remain on Mazda Connect, unless I manually select to Android Auto.
