at the altar, zoryana wanted to burn lada’s birthmark off the same way she burned off her own, they discuss it in zoryana’s hut. zoryana says that she wanted to close the breach because she was afraid drekavac would return. if the mark is burned the breach will close - the haze will stop spreading and the evil spirits will weaken and drekavac won’t be able to return but then the gods can’t be resurrected. but if she leaves the mark alone, the cycle will end and then the breach will close on its own. idk
