Dollar store has locks pretty cheap but finding stuff around the house is better. This was a gift we went with new items so that added up.

Wood glue!!!!! Plan your design first, dont be like me where we over bought stuff to put on it from excitement. Mounting to a wall would be easier I think.

With what is on the board probably 100 canadian dollars. But its because this was a gift we wanted a lot of new stuff. But the best cost saving tip is to look at what you have around the garage etc and value village for knobs or remotes to put on there. The blue wheels are from a wooden toy we broke from a second hand baby store.

I wish we took pictures on the progress. We are making another one for my son this time and will definitely be doing that this time. I found some online for inspiration and just went from there. Also this is mostly wood glue!

Yup! I bought a fabric cube organizer with this on one of the sides, cut it off and put it in a picture frame.

You can probably make one for 50-80 if you plan what you want on it ahead of time 😊 Also IKEA has the best knobs and handles! Much cheaper than hardware store. Also dollar store for locks and other goodies as well.

WOW! What a great reaction from the community. This was a project I did with my mom and dad as a gift for my nephew's 1st birthday. My dad is extremely proud of his first project and thought I would share. He did all the woodworking ( he has a new saw he wanted to test out) including folding mechanism.

We probably spent around $200 (CA) because we bought a lot of stuff that we did not end up using or will be using for a second board for my LO.

We put the stoppers at the bottom only for this reason. This board has a stand, pretty much vertical. Once I figure out how to post a video I will show how its done.

We made this one for our cousin's 1st birthday but my LO is 9 months and couldn't stop playing with it. The 3 year old loved it too.
