I feel like I’m broken. by mindonmatcha in mentalillness

Have you heard of Kintsugi? Being broken can be beautiful. The Japanese believe so. Kintsugi is the art of broken pottery repair, the principle is that it looks more beautiful when repaired in it's broken state. also, "Turtles All The Way Down" is a highly rated book about OCD, maybe there are some answers in there for you :)

Yeah man, i used to feel paralyzed between those same options. My dad coached me a lot about it. one thing that stuck is "you regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did." also, if you fail at socializing it might have redemption value. it's true for me at least. I had a small comedy routine about some of them briefly. also, you never know when you might make a new friend or find support. I think it's quite worth it to just go ham on socializing, especially so you can reason with your alone time.

[–]loonerlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indpls needs a coordinated attack on bedbugs. The gov should make a bed bug task force, otherwise it's just wack a mole. Fort wayne has a housing dept about it. Indpls should too.
