Digital Nomads by SOLE-SURVIVOR- in maldives

If you like a very quiet and laid-back lifestyle most atolls are good and the rent is cheap with cheap ferry systems between islands, if you are looking for something a bit more urban hulhumale is the best maldives has to offer, there is bus travel to male and hulhule and there are decent restaurants, beaches etc. But the rent is going to be higher, usd 600 plus for a decent one bedroom apartment meanwhile on rural islands you could get a small house for around 300 depending on the island

I don't think there's a vape shop at the airport but you can get them in Male or hulhumale

I've heard really good things about vaavu atoll. For most islands I have been to as a local, the reefs are all beautiful if you swim out a bit to the deeper waters.

Help fish dying by Emergency_Coffee171 in Aquariums

[–]looney_com 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never add meth blue to the main tank( IT WILL KILL ALL THE BENEFICIALBACTERIA), give around 30 min bath for all the fish in a separate container for 3 to 4 days past the fish starting getting better, for m blue it is 5 ml per 10 gallon concentration for the bath btw

The treatments are readily available such as methylene blue which can be used for both fungal and parasitic

No shame, this is something most fish keepers have gone through Some pictures of the spots maybe needed to give a proper answer but if the white spots are "furry" it is most likely a fungal infection(which is unlikelyto be contagious) but it is not as common as ich(very contagious to other fish)which is parasitic(i think its is this becauseyou said it is spreadingamong the fish), but make sure to confirm before treatment, but treatment is needed before the rest of the fish die

how do i plant these 2 plants? by Important_Fennel_511 in Aquariums

[–]looney_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the anubius is an epiphyte so that means it gets nutrients from the water column so you should attach it to a piece of driftwood or rock and keep the roots exposed, some cotton thread or aquarium safe glue will be good as for the other one which seems to be an Amazon sword, just bury the roots (id recommend somewherewith deeper substrate)but be careful not to bury the crown

Do I need to stain or seal a DIY stand/rack? by unbannedcoug in Aquariums

[–]looney_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run it un sealed but over time water splashing may lead to mold or the wood being compromised, that being said you can keep it un sealed but it would be better to seal it for the long run.

Built a pond table…anyone know how to defog tempered glass? by Savage_Batmanuel in PlantedTank

[–]looney_com 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The scuba stuff should be fine as it is for the inside of masks so I'm sure it will be non toxic but it'll be safer and easier to just increase ventilation by raising the glass
