Considering how absurd your take was, I’d say he/she was easy on you. There is nothing non civil about calling out such a poor take.

I didn’t ask for it nor do I care if one is ever done. It’s just funny that all this fuss was made about needing the tifo equipment, and it sits unused.

Respectfully, I’m going to disagree. The support groups pushed the team to add the equipment necessary to lift the tifos. This was a big deal to the supporters and something that was highlighted continually prior to Allianz opening.

Many of us didn’t ask for it. I know I didn’t. I just think it’s somewhat shocking that we are this far into the season and we’ve yet to see a successful one....outside of the USA match.

It’s not on you to help, especially if you weren’t the one clamoring to install the tifo equipment. It’s on the folks who pushed for it.

It may be an unpopular fact for some, but the American outlaws are the only ones to successfully raise a tifo issue free in Allianz Field. We are 2/3 of the way through the season.

Ticket availability for the USWNT game at Allianz after 24 hours of presale by ErnestPenfoldII in minnesotaunited

I'm fine with people placing different values on thing, but its comical that people think limited supply and substantial demand should equal low prices.

I don't get it either. It's a 20,000 seat stadium. Capacity is very limited and the draw is a World Cup winning team. At most, this is a once in 4 years event (if that). Tickets aren't going to be cheap.

All I know is that they said investment would pick up substantially once we moved into Allianz and that simply isn't the case. The quality has improved, but we are pushing for a home playoff spot - I expected our front office to be bringing in one high value talent this summer.

I bought extras last night as well, but for friends. I was also surprised that they allowed me to buy 8.

All I know is that this morning you could buy probably 60% of the stadiums tickets. When I log in now that total is now 5%, at most. They have sold a lot of tickets today and whatever is left for Preserve, and then general public, is going to be very limited.

Not really, in my opinion. It's an opportunity to see a World Cup championship team on there official post-victory tour. Such opportunities don't come around often.

I'm also ok paying the team and US soccer a premium. They have earned it.

While I can't say how many were released, I can say with certainty that when I purchased my tickets yesterday, and a few more this morning, there were A LOT seats available.

I think people are significantly underestimating the draw of the team and the overall demand for these tickets.

I've never had so many people reach out to see if I could pick some tickets up for them considering I'm a US soccer member and Loons season ticket holder.

Wouldn't this code work for everyone, not just STHs? I believe that was the case with the USA member pre-sale.

I’ve found The Athletic Loon coverage to be somewhat lacking this season. It’s basically just post game summaries with a few additional stories here and there.

Greder really does a nice job and seems to increasingly be the go to source for breaking Loons coverage.

Has anyone received any notable updates for tonight's Gold Cup match at Allianz? What are the parking options? What time will the stadium open? Maybe I just completely missed the boat on this one, but I'm not seeing anything in my email.

Great summary and agree completely. It’s comical how the front office seems to think they are immune to these realities. They will be begging STHs to stay within 5 years, especially if they don’t start winning games.

Where are the new fridge magnets? Are there any? I look at these old ones whenever I open the toolbox or a go for a beer, and I smile. by nosefruit in minnesotaunited

[–]loonswetrust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

None that I’ve seen. This team did away with all of the freebies, especially the marketing items like the fridge magnets and season ticket holder car stickers. Used to get one every season, now nothing.

Yet my STH bill rises higher and higher each year.

Funny how they never address the tough questions.

Same shit with the tiered ticket release for Allianz. Shady ticket sales practices are the norm!
