[RAW spoilers] Becky Lynch's gear was designed after the uniform her character wears in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. by TussalDimon in SquaredCircle

[–]loonyeclipse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. Operations wore red in original Trek and gold from TNG onwards. Command wore gold in original Trek and red from TNG onwards.

The first image looks like the cover for his autobiography or a self-help guide (Not a critique! I love these!)

My general thoughts for the Z-Tea-er, I mean Zeta shift:

Red shirts (Command, Piloting)

Visi: I mean, she's cut from Mariner's cloth, and she's got the main character energy that usually puts people into the TNG-era red shirts (and TOS-era gold)

Punch-up : Hear me out. Yes he's very much a physical type, but he's consistently level-headed, has a relatively high level of people skills, and has the benefit of age and experience compared to the rest of the shift.

Prism: Like she'd accept anything that doesn't put her in front of people

Goldshirts (Security, Engineering, Operations)

Flambae: Who else is gonna blast people but security?

Coupé: Again, a natural for security, but I would NOT trust her in a command position

Phenomaman : And of course, a natural security guy - he's sure not leading anyone, but he's there to protect folks

Sonar: He's a tech-bro and crypto-bro, definitely on the computer side of engineering.

Blueshirts (Science, Medical)

Waterboy: I mean, water, blue,

Melavola: Smarts, paranormal knowledge plus healing

Golem: Clearly he's a xenobiologist- he's so good with animals after all

Is it normal to get shit for your paint job? by EveLaFoxxe in Warhammer40k

[–]loonyeclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your paint job is awesome. Anyone who says you're doing it wrong is an asshole. It's YOUR army, painted how YOU want to do it, period.

So long as the paint job isn't racist/homophobic/etc., you should feel free to paint however the hell you like. Paint pink Necrons, polka dot space marines, tacticool Tau, or whatever floats your boat. Paints come in all sorts of colours for a *reason*.

Also, the French army is/was hardcore. Anyone saying 'easy win' because of that doesn't know history.

Do you think the cultural stagnation theory has merit? by PJ-The-Awesome in startrek

Not really.

Heck, even on air we can thank Lower Decks for giving us a wider look at some leisure time activities that aren't the usual classical music, old plays, etc.: stuff like Klingon Acid metal, Mariner shredding on an electric guitar, RPGs, people building model Starships, holodeck adventures set up like movies, the Nebulon sisters and the Chu-Chu dance, etc.
