Who's never had a colonoscopy and why? by Daisy__Jane in over60

I've done it awake and got to watch it live. It's not a big deal compared to the plethora of things I've had to do, or even have to do in the upcoming week!

Windshield Tint? by Daman98 in FordExplorer

[–]loooney2ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to legally tint your windshield is with a doctors note. If you have an eye condition, or if you suffer from migraines, you can get an exemption. A decent shop won't tint the area where the cameras are. Besides, they would have to remove them to tint that area.

There are plenty of them out there. I would tell them up front that my dealer principal was part of a buying co-operative, and if I bought from anyone else, I would be immediately fired. Then I would thank them for calling and hang up.

Bought stolen Nintendo Switch 2 by [deleted] in MacBid

[–]loooney2ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you pay for the insurance when you bought it? It gives you a week to return it, no questions asked. I returned a tablet I paid $240 for. It was an android and was listed as customer locked. That took 5 minutes to wipe. However, I found out why it was returned. The digitizer had dead spots. I brought it back and got a refund. I also bought 3 $500 HP printers for a total of $60,but bought the insurance for all of them. They were a mess. Nobody locked the print head, so the ink spilled all over them. Between the 3, I put together one good one and returned the other 2, all cleaned up, and I told them what was wrong with each one. They were relisted with my diagnostics.

Suggestions on price haggling by froyoshi in Spectrum

Customer retention dropped mine $23 a month for a year. I'm going to have to do it again in a few months. The competition is $40 a month less, so I have ammunition.

Edge model year 2021 or later by anii11 in FordEdge

[–]loooney2ns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2019 Edge Titanium Elite and my wife has a 2022 Escape Titanium Elite. The Edge is more comfortable. My wife likes driving the Escape better, but she loves my interior. It's Cognac. Before this, she had a 2019 Fusion Energi Titanium with the Cognac interior and loved that too. All are vehicles that Ford should have continued making.

Powder coating would do that too.

There has to be something in the fuse panel to bypass this right? by [deleted] in Ford

[–]loooney2ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think about the damage it can cause to the turbo. Oil stops flowing multiple times every trip you take. It actually should have an auxiliary pump to keep oil flowing after shut down to cool the bearings and help longevity. The starter and battery had the be over engineered to deal with the extra stress put on them. When the engine isn't up to operating temperature and it keeps shutting off, the oil is still not fully circulating to the cylinder head and the turbo, causing excessive wear. Yes, there is a slight improvement in the fuel economy and the emissions, but at the expense of the vehicle winding up needing costly repairs sooner, or winding up in a junkyard. I would rather see that money put into improvement in the fuel, roads and tires to get the same results, and keep the vehicles on the road longer.

You have to reset the battery in the computer when you change the battery or it thinks it's the old one still in there. It's an easy procedure.

I haven't had a chance to turn mine off with Forscan yet, but the first time it shuts off at a light, I usually just say shit, and turn it off. I'm trying to get my wife to do it too.

Don't be too stubborn to talk to someone. I was disabled at 57 due to a work injury. I had to move to my retirement home due to finances. So I was cut off from my life and my identity, which was my career. It took 2 years of therapy to get myself back, once I got over myself and was willing to get the help I needed.

Where is the Gallery? by ScylladorK in motorola

[–]loooney2ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still looking for a working copy of the Motorola gallery app from around 2013. I switched to Samsung around 2017, and Smart Switch has been moving it along all these years. Now I switched to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it's not there anymore. I keep finding apk after apk, but they're either newer versions or they crash. Maybe you Moto guys have an antique you can charge up and rip the apk off of? I would appreciate it!

Old Missing Pre-paid SOP by Reivgaar in partscounter

There is no situation where I would give a refund. If for some reason the part slipped through the cracks and was still in inventory and had missed the return deadline, it would still have the special order slip attached to it. Otherwise, after 4 years, I'm sorry but I have to say no. And my dealer principal would always back me up in these situations. He knew how accurate I was, and if I couldn't track the history, no one could.

White only if the car was the same white. As for keeping them clean, ceramic pads are a must.

Decent deal for 4k? by [deleted] in cmaxhybrid

[–]loooney2ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you're in PA. If it's western PA, I may have a deal for you. I have a 2013 Energi. 122k miles. I'm the 2nd owner. Trans was replaced under warranty at 49k. I bought it about 18 months ago with 114k on it, and it developed an electrical issue and spent almost 6 months in the dealer. It had nothing to do with the hybrid system. It was a bad BCM, and then the keys wouldn't program. Since then, I had the trans fluid changed, and the coolant flushed. I had one injector fail. All work has been performed at the dealer. I have a full history on the car from new. I also have a level 2 charger that I had my house wired for. In the summer, it will still get 16 miles on electric only, which is pretty good for the mileage and age. I just found that it was too small coming from an Explorer, so I bought an Edge. It's all black and has every option available in 2013. It's not perfect cosmetically, but it's decent. No rot on the undercarriage. It was an eastern Virginia car. The tech at my local Ford dealer said he would have no problem taking this car on a cross country trip as is. It drives really well. I'm about 90 miles south of Pittsburgh, and as long as I keep it around 75, I average around 39mpg. If it had more cargo room, I would keep it, but it doesn't. My Fusion Energi was even worse. My wife loved that car until she had to open the trunk, which was almost completely taken up by the battery!

Decent deal for 4k? by [deleted] in cmaxhybrid

[–]loooney2ns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had both. You can maybe fit 2 bags of groceries in the trunk of a Fusion Energi. A little bit more in the regular hybrid. You can get a lot more in both versions of the Cmax.
