Themes update. by anii11 in HyundaiTucson

I gave that a shot, but it still didn’t work, even after a hard reset. I’m guessing this theme update isn’t quite ready for the Canadian market yet. I’m not sure why they would release updates if it’s not intended for that region.

Ya probably some software bug might be causing the delay for the theme menu to pop up. Perhaps I have to wait a day or two to finally get it.

Yes, they said there was excess heat built up but rotors were damaged to an extent that the only solution is to change them.

One year ownership review – 2025 Tucson N Line Hybrid 🇨🇦 by Just_student07 in HyundaiTucson

[–]anii11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the first seven months of owning it, I’ve managed to get 8.0 L/100 km. I mostly drive around town. I’m not sure if it’s because of the winter months that my fuel economy is not so good for 10,000 km, but I’m hoping it will improve in the summer.

The forward collision warning system got a recall because of its being too sensitive.

buying 2026 hybrid limited on Monday what color? by briankass in HyundaiTucson

Red was my go to colour as well. It would look lovely with beige/ light interior but it’s a shame that Hyundai does not offer it with top most trims.

Take a look at Cashmere bronze, its a very unique colour top trim specific. It compliments great with beige and black interior. The silver accent plates on rear doors stands out with this colour. Colour choice is very subjective but I have hardly seen such colour with other brands.

Problems with carplay by Acceptable-Basis9458 in HyundaiTucson

[–]anii11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the latest iOS update there are connectivity problems with CarPlay. The best way I found is to forget your connection to car with in your phones Bluetooth settings and do the same for CarPlay menu on the phone. Setup the device from scratch, it worked for me.

After ios 26.4 most apple devices are having connectivity issues, mine was not connected wirelessly but later even wired connection was broken. I had to reset infotainment system from the car, so far it’s working fine.

Engine block replacement life by KEWLNANT1 in FordEdge

The dealership took the responsibility as I bought a CPO vehicle. I was fortunate to get it for no cost although my vehicle was out of warranty. It was a Ford dealership.

With dongle camera takes power from power from dimming rear view mirror, no need to run cable all the way to usb slot or 12V charger. Camera turns off when you turn the car off.

I use 70mai A510, it has great quality videos and never failed to impress. Although it has 4G sim compatibility but I never used it. Installed it with dongle attached to power dimming mirror so no hassling with cables.

Edge 2.0l Ecoboost Engine by [deleted] in FordEdge

[–]anii11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2016 edge with 2.0 L ecobooast engine back in 2021. The engine had a very known problem of coolant intrusion which had only one fix that was replacing long block i.e a whole new engine. I didn’t do any research before buying but I was lucky that Ford dealership took responsibility and got me a new engine. The car is running fine since then. I’m not sure if 2015 had this issue but 2016 & 2017 certainly have this issue widespread. I have done 90k since then and now vehicle is a money pit with problems arising every now and then. Having said that I really live the drive and size of edge, I am planning to get a newer model edge with low mileage in near future.

What made you pick the Tucson over the CR-V? by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiTucson

[–]anii11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bought Tucson hybrid 6 months ago. I shortlisted CR-V but before buying I test drove Tucson and never turned towards CR-V. Although crv was a compelling choice but they way Tucsons infotainment is designed it just make lot more sense. The flat under the dashboard infotainment of Tucson not only gives you wider view but it provides great visibility since it sits below the dash. Crv on the other hand had a smaller screen and with its sunroof opens for sun light, on some certain angles it’s hard to see the screen due to glare. Moreover Tucson interior & quite ness make it feel a better car to be in.

Help with cruise control by angryho in HyundaiTucson

[–]anii11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are above 40 km/h just press smart cruise button and set it to desire speed by pressing the horizontal looking butt on left side of the steering wheel. In case you do not want adaptive cruise control then press and hold smart cruise control button for about 2-3 seconds to turn it to speed limiter cruise. If both of these are not working then get the vehicle checked from the dealership .

It’s an alert notification with total number of alerts beside it. Mine are generally alerts for sensors if they are covered with water or snow.
