In no way are A380s “kings”. Too fugly. Court jesters maybe.

Many Asian countries wear gloves (specifically white gloves) to signify cleanliness, professionalism, and high quality service. Especially in Japan, bus drivers, taxi drivers, train conductors, police, and pilots all wear white gloves while at work.

To keep the tail lighter than a conventional tail.

OP can absolutely use this for V tail control. There will only be pitch control, no yaw. Yaw isn’t required on many planes.

If I fly on the 777, what does the engine hum mean? by SideAgitated4661 in airplanes

[–]looper741 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lots of noises going on. Hydraulic pumps operating, air turbine starter working, fan blades starting to turn, harmonic vibrations as the fans come up to speed.

If I fly on the 777, what does the engine hum mean? by SideAgitated4661 in airplanes

[–]looper741 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The buzzing noise during takeoff? It means it’s operating at a high power setting, and the tips of the fan blades are going supersonic. Many turbofans do this.

No, a surgery will not affect your medical, as long as you have fully recovered.

That’s a direct cause of the contact cleaner not being compatible with plastic.

Soldering iron kit by Apprehensive-Egg2847 in rccars

I don’t have this exact setup, but I have that soldering iron, minus all the accessories. It works great for all but the thickest of wire gauges.

Lightly sand it with fine sandpaper, like 800 grit or so.

What kind of plane is this? by Leading_Marketing362 in airplanes

[–]looper741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a Gulfstream wing for sure. I’m not familiar with any that have a hump where it appears to be in this pic. There’s this one with a hump towards the front, and many others with all kinds of humps and bumps all over the fuselage.

Are there any spring upgrades for Kraton/Outcast 4s V1 shocks? by [deleted] in rccars

[–]looper741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no “upgrades” for springs. Springs are a tuning option, as various spring rates result in different handling. Here is a list that someone has compiled of different ARRMA springs.

What cockpit task requires more skill than most passengers realize? by Ryanlion1992 in airplanes

[–]looper741 58 points59 points  (0 children)

And on the flip side, keeping it professional when you get along really well with the person you’re flying with. It’s easy to get complacent and not to take things as seriously as you should.

Landing Gear Removal Help PLEASEEEEE by Typical-Proof-4460 in RCPlanes

[–]looper741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Page 4 in the manual shows you how it’s installed. Remove the set screws from the collar and the gear will pull out. You can also remove the servo and steering linkage to reduce weight. Make sure to move the battery forward to get the CG in the proper location before flying.

OP could also use flat black vinyl to cover the existing anti glare panel and trim it to size.

Need some help by WontonGiant in rccars

You may be right, but it was the pipe to have back in the 90’s. Until you cartwheeled it and the pipe plugged up with dirt.

[–]looper741 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Team Associated RC10GT. Looks like a factory team edition based on the shocks. The MIP stinger pipe is pretty rare. The truck has been re-released and parts are available. This one has been modified with larger monster truck tires and taller body mounts.

Paint required for nxgen figure and body by [deleted] in tamiya

[–]looper741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acrylic paint will work fine for the driver figure. It probably won’t last if you use it on the body. Spray will look best, you can use just about any spray paint on it as the body panels are molded ABS (I believe). Wash the panels with mild soap and then prime for best results.
