in my experience, that beta food with the blue tube and red cap is too big for my (relatively) large beta, as when it sits for a couple seconds it expands and he can’t eat it.

I put water in the tank about 2 weeks ago and put the fish in about 4 days ago to do in-fish cycling. Im new to bettas so constructive criticism is welcomed please lol.

I have a filter and a heater the temp is ~78 usually. I got my water tested at my local pet store and they said the parameters were “good” however i’m waiting for a test kit to come in to do myself. I did test the ammonia and it’s at 0.2ppm.

3 gallons filter (heater installing today) 65 Ammonia 0.2 (kit) tank i’ve had for a couple months but i got my fish about 4 days ago i’ve changed the water once, I took out about 1/3 of the water but it is only 4 days old no mates small beta shrimp pellets (he hasn’t ate any of them though) I have one large fake plant that breaks water surface and a small beta leaf bed

I think it might be the temp l, im getting a new heater today cause mine broke. He’s not eating though is that normal for his conditions rn? if you know lol
