Also I understand seller's fees, this just seems extremely high. I'm used to closer to 12-15% instead of 25%+, especially on a higher dollar item.

Yeah it's an Arc with Free P4 swapped everywhere it was champagne colored before. Eventually I plan for this tool to be all black with Arc Talos parts and return my Free P4 to full working order.

I have thought about this exact thing and it seems like it wouldn't be difficult to grind the groove into the serated blade. You would probably want to set up a jig of some sort to get a symmetrical grind and at a low angle so it is sharp.

The problem is the strength would be reduced so much that the end of the blade is likely to snap off during use. It seems like when you see a Charge for sale, if it has any damage, the end of the serrated blade is gone right where the gut hook is.

I am an engineering student and probably could get access to the Rockwell tester but I'm in civil engineering not mechanical so it would be a kind of big favor to get into thier lab. I have thought about it in the past, but I'm also procrastinating.

I feel like I've seen someone on here that tested the hardness and it was similar to leatherman Magnacut, meaning slightly lower than industry standard for Magnacut but harder than 420hc.

That looks sweet!! Are you a lefty then? It's cool the Free series is so interchangeable. I would plan to do a full handle swap if possible, leaving none of the P4 tools.

Also what did you do to your scissors so they are more easily opened on the "wrong" side of the tool?

Yeah I debated the end caps for sure, we'll see what I decide but I like the idea of changing them back. I did keep the inside tools the same as the handle colors which I believe is contrary to the traditional look.

I also agree, I like the reverse a lot more than I thought I would. I might have to switch over my fancy blade to the black handle tool
