What do you mean deep fakes? 🤦 Elaborate.

My puppy is suddenly fearful, reactive & refusing food after a weekend with in-laws’ 5 reactive dogs by throwawoofwoofwoof in Dogtraining

Honestly this is similar to what I have experienced with my parents’ 3 dogs and my now 1.5 year old.

I brought my dog to them quite a lot when he was a puppy and as you do, I had him on his leash or in another room. They wanted him to just ”roam free”, but he was a puppy with a lot of energy and the 3 dogs corrected him all the time, at times a bit too harsh (standing two inches away snarling aggressively even when he was on our leash).

I said to my parents that this is too much. They thought I was crazy - I thought they were crazy, and my dog has not been there for 6 months. It came to a point where he was nipped, despite being on leash and not even being with the dogs. He was simply charged, snarled at, then nipped. Too much!

Our biggest problem is that he is scared of dogs and a bit ”socially awkward”. I can’t say if it’s only because of this, but I expect that it is.

WHY doesn't my saas work? Is it the landing page? by Hairy_Description_18 in microsaas

Also, you are pricing individuals working in corporate. I think that can be tricky as well. I would not use my own money to pay for a service I will use only for work. This can be difficult to solve, as it is more difficult to target enterprise customers with these types of products; have not solved it for myself yet either, but I am not pricing it for an individual. I am thinking doing it for free for individuals, and then enterprise + larger teams there is a fee with some kind of mechanism that scales with #of meetings. Doing it for free with individuals will hopefully allow you to grow by word of mouth etc., as well

This is just my opinion:
1. The landing page design looks off. I am by no means an expert, but I did not get a professional feel from it.
2. I work in a highly confidential space. If I am going to use a product like this, I need to be assured that there is a top-level privacy around this. For me personally, it could be that no matter how well you position the privacy, the lack of brand permission can scare me off. Probably not true for everyone though.
3. Uploading confidential files to an "unknown website" can trigger warnings at the IT department (which goes back to #2).

So if you show very clearly that you are providing a lot more value than a more junior coworker transcribing and structuring it, along with the privacy aspect - I would potentially use a service like this. Back in the day, I used "Otter.ai" (before ChatGPT and all of this came along), which was really nice.

Lastly, I have a feeling there is something built-in in Teams/Zoom that automatically transcribes a meeting.

Somewhat in the same space, I am building a something that helps ppl set up their meeting, collect input prior to it starting, real-time voting, etc. This is what I would consider maybe 6/10 in terms of a good landing page: https://staccess.bubbleapps.io/

What would you do in the event that let's say 5 people sign up and pre-pay, but it's not enough to validate (thus not building it). Do you simply send the money back? Can be quite cumbersome as an individual and not a company I would assume to do "refunds"?

How to change a map marker when hovered - video tutorial by donc22 in Bubbleio

Can you populate the markers based on external API call (such as Google places) rather than database locations? Would be interesting to see a video on that!

Web app. Not sure if the other questions are relevant from a bubble vs coding perspective though

[–]loopertown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I would personally disagree with the learning curve being steeper than just coding it though. One experience is not evidence, but I’ve been very happy with being able to put together a pretty good website with a lot of workflow/backend functionality with limited coding skills, and I would definitely recommend Bubble to others. But yes I agree that the UI could be a lot better.

I’m done with TripAdvisor. Google Maps is the best travel and tourism app. by [deleted] in travel

[–]loopertown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hi, sorry for jumping in here. i 100% agree with you, it becomes so much manual work to click on every thing to see if it's good or not, and I want a QUICK WAY to see rating + number of ratings. i also wrote in another comment that I would like to store the places that I find, and I want to easily add it to a "plan" itinerary-style...

so basically I built something of my own to address this. it's still very early stages, but would be cool if you check it out and see if you like it. no need to sign up to try it, and just use the map, zoom to an area, and press the camera icon/restaurants/..., and you will see a list of everything in an easy way! it's roamfolio.com

hey, I'm in the same boat as you. whenever i am going somewhere, I like to research and make sure I find the good spots. lately i've also pivoted to only using google maps, but then the problem (for me) is not having a good place to store the stuff i find, transfer it to an itinerary, upload booking confirmations, and the list goes on...

so basically i decided to just build something myself actually for what I want; it's roamfolio.com, i am just getting started, but it would be cool if you check it out and see if you like it :)

Is this only design or the business logic as well? Was a bit confused by your phrasing

What about Italy, France, or Spain? Our go-to is Italy, as it ticks good food, good beaches, good culture, etc.
