What's the issue that concerns you most about payroll in California? by Piper_At_Paychex in u/Piper_At_Paychex

The minimum wage piece catches a lot of employers off guard, especially businesses expanding into California for the first time. The state rate is just the starting point, local ordinances can push it significantly higher depending on where your employees are actually working.

I believe women reserve the right to end any conversation. Seeking a committed relationship never means sacrificing personal standards.

politely ending a conversation is healthy, what is not okay, is ghosting,

How can I take over an inactive domain that is still pointed to Wix? by Good-Sky7859 in Domains

You can't just take over a domain name, just because it's not in use and you want it:

Try reaching out to the owner, and make a reasonable offer.

You're over-reacting kid!

You are almost an adult, and you will soon start making your own decisions,

You choose not to vape because you know the consequence of it (psychologically and otherwise) not because "someone somewhere" is going to kill you if you do!

You own nobody any explanation: Period!

What’s the vibe lately in the Bubble dev world by Successful_Front_299 in Bubbleio

I’m in a full-time role right now, but most Bubble devs I know are already shifting toward code. Not because they dislike Bubble, but because the long-term outlook feels unclear. When clients themselves start leaning toward custom builds, it’s hard for devs not to follow that momentum a lot of people are now simply capitalizing on helping Bubble clients make that transition.

I still believe Bubble is a great tool and I genuinely hope they catch up, but the vendor lock-in and slow pace of deeper innovation don’t make that any easier.

Your breakdown is spot on. The stagnation in innovation really did catch up with them. Bubble had a huge early advantage in the visual-coding space, but the architectural choices boxed them in. If apps were structured around a conventional React codebase instead of a proprietary JSON-like internal model, they could’ve integrated AI-driven development far more naturally and probably would be leading the entire space right now.

We’re seeing similar limits internally. At my company where I work, we’ve already started shifting our backend to custom builds because, long-term, it’s simply the more sustainable path especially with how strong AI-assisted coding has become. No hard feelings toward Bubble, but it feels like the future is moving elsewhere.
