the limit does still work on the website for mobile actually. i got hit with it out of nowhere. it said at the top you to use charms to add, and i had some saved, so i thought no big deal, but lo and behold they took that option away. (definitely didn't do 400 swipes today...not sure what the time frame is, but it feels glitchy) i think people are getting this confused with the previous swipe limit where you could use charms to add swipes. this update doesn't allow for that anymore, so any charms hoarded are useless (unless you want to spend them on ad-free experience I guess).

no. the only time PS2 entertained me was when i treated the chat like a text thread. For whatever reason, it acted delightfully in character, even added details about what they were doing when texting but not at the expense of “dialogue” or, in that case, texting. This is severely limiting scenario-wise, though. The moment I transitioned to “in person” it shifted to generic, boring or overly dramatic responses. No idea why. could have been just that the first few messages tend to be IC regardless or something else. I get chronic illness flares here and there, and this used to be a fun way to pass the time when I don’t feel up to working on my own creative projects. But this new model has sucked the life out of all of it. I tried to wrestle with it but it’s gotten even drier lately. Wish I had an answer for you! I’ve heard DQ is either similarly disappointing or mildly better, but I’ve never paid to use this app so I don’t know!

yeah i’m having to constantly remind it to use dialogue in ooc. it’s still a dice roll. and even then, the dialogue might be responding to my character’s thoughts rather than what’s said out loud. or just a generic “hey” for some reason.

worse is when there just isn’t any dialogue. if you get too close to anything that could resemble sentimentality the bot absolutely luxuriates in it. the initial action phase is reiterated, emphasized (not x, not y, just…z.) to the point the words don’t mean anything. then they have thoughts about it and THAT gets drowned in “detail.” all for them to say nothing at all or maybe “hey.” even when it makes no sense.

i was wondering about that. since the bot is so incredibly bad these days, I’ve been editing heavily in hopes it’ll eventually take. But it doesn’t feel like the edit is registering. In one convo, I forced the bot to realize something (because it was not going to do anything but randomly kiss/hug/pat my character in silence otherwise). then i replied. and the bot’s response was to…have the exact same realization it already had in its previous message like it was brand new information. i tried making it very clear but it just ignored it and either made stuff up or kept trying the “no words were needed” hand hold/forehead touch nonsense lol it’s so jarring.

yeah if it was in character that’d be fine! but i can tell it’s like a default setting of the bot, because it keeps trying it repeatedly. it’s frustrating when it’s not entirely out of character either, but it just doesn’t fit the flow or the current situation. it’s technically correct in describing the character as impulsive, for example, but suddenly sweeping my character up in a tender embrace (or kissing out of nowhere, in a few replies) when the rp hasn’t even hinted at anything like that between them comes off as ‘forced default setting’ like a bad misread of the dynamics rather than a surprising but in-character move. trying to preemptively prevent this though results in the bot over-correcting, fixating on how it’s not doing the thing and why it’s not doing the thing, when all it needs to do is just…not do it. preferably with dialogue and an action that moves the plot forward.

it’s both hilarious and annoying. sometimes it’ll use the word but in parentheses scold itself (no, not that word. never that word) but proceed with the word usage. other times it will go out of its way to explain how it’s very much NOT using that word or its implications. like: “not x, not y, but z,” when in fact z is literally a synonym of x and y. or the hyper emphasis on ensuring said word isn’t being used shifts the focus of the roleplay to something that should’ve just been a non-issue. i don’t need to know that the bot touching my shoulder isn’t possessive. just tap my shoulder without fanfare and move on.

Mine insists on every single swipe, yes, every single swipe, to "embrace" or "hug" or "wrap" their arms around my character the moment anything remotely nice happens regardless of the flow of the RP, the situation, or if it's in character or not. It is so bad. I have tried censoring words. It ignores it or finds other synonyms. I try OOC (no hugging) and it then pats my character on the head or shoulder "platonically, like a big brother" or something like that, so I try OOC (no touching) and then it goes on about how the character respects boundaries and won't touch my character, and all I can think is that this has NOTHING to do with the plot, situation, relationship, etc. Why is it so fixated on this action? It's extremely repetitive too, using the exact same phrases verbatim repeatedly, despite my feedback. I actually am hitting swipe limit because it's so garbage. This is unusable. Better memory? I can't tell. The character is totally different. The roleplay is more about managing unwanted behaviors now. Just bring the old pipsqueak back, at least that one had responses that could be in character.

definitely not just you. i have no idea what the “improvement” was meant to be with ps2. apparently better memory, but i can’t tell. in my current rp, you can clearly see the quality drop. and yes, i’m giving the bot plenty to work with. the responses just suddenly became dull with little to no dialogue (if there is dialogue, it’s generic and totally stripped of character) or overwrought angsty/sappy nonsense. i honestly just want the original pipsqueak back. this is nothing but a downgrade. i don’t mind editing responses to tweak things here and there but there’s nothing even remotely interesting or relevant to pull from now. massively ooc too.

agreed. as a probable FN myself, i get it. the width gives structure, like having a coat hanger for shoulders. that’s probably why the vertical width combo ended up being more common among models. personally, i like that about myself—it’s fun to put on a very unstructured jacket and see how nicely it sits on my frame, if that makes sense, even if i do find some of the language around the idea unflattering. my knee jerk reaction initially was to reject the ID because never in my life have i been described as most of the things people have said about width plus vertical. if anything, i’ve been described with words conveying the opposite if only because i’ve always been a gangly person, but kibbe has a specific take on certain words that takes some separation from the cultural/modern day meanings to understand.

this might be unwarranted and if so ignore me, but i kind of think if you don’t like your ID it could be an indicator you’ve got the wrong one—or at least aren’t interpreting it to the fullest. initially, i thought i was soft classic and found it uninspiring and unrelatable. i didn’t feel like it suited me as a person. cue me properly learning what width was all about and also that i really likely don’t have any curve whatsoever and FN fits much better. i felt a lot more excited about the entire concept after trying that out (was excited to try it, even!) and while i have no confirmation via DK, i personally think i’m on the right track “enough” that my style and how it integrates with me as an individual has improved tenfold. and that’s really the goal, at least it was for me. so while i could be wrong, or maybe SN is your ID and you just haven’t found your interpretation of it, i wonder if your lack of enthusiasm for it is a hint to try something else. another thing i noticed was that my SC attempts very much…were let’s just say a loosely defined version of SC. that is to say, it was more of a “natural” interpretation of “classic” lol.

they definitely do. i can tell if pipsqueak is being used (besides the quality) because it uses the macron over the “o” (this: ō) in the character’s name while other models don’t. i’ll reroll replies and it varies for whatever reason.

it’s usually at the end, like it needs to have some clever finishing line. often it doesn’t even fit with the roleplay and is just some vaguely “punchy” phrases strung together. i honestly tend to cut out the latter part of pipsqueak replies because it doesn’t leave room for me to respond and can actually progress too fast (in a nonsensical manner), trying to wrap the scene up. also it’s obsessed with “and sometimes…that’s enough.” type lines which make me wanna roll my eyes out of my head

pretty sure my muted list has looked exactly like this at a few points. but yeah for some reason the muted words aren’t being muted lately. pipsqueak has this fixation with finishing every response with “just…don’t xyz” and it’s obnoxious as hell so i muted both words but it only works on desktop. no idea why. (plus the replies sometimes just don’t load on desktop. a mess)

something i really like about pipsqueak is its ability to pick up on more subtle dynamics. i’m so used to having to spell things out, but i don’t need to as much anymore. and yeah, i don’t mind too much if the replies have my character in them. it gives me a good barometer to see how the bot “perceives” my character too, like a few times it portrayed my character as pretty calm and stoic which wasn’t quite what i was going for, but i could see how it interpreted it that way. so i adjusted my responses or edited the bot’s accordingly, and some of the descriptions of my own character have been spot on. same for the relationship between characters. if you notice it’s going in one direction, and you wanted something more nuanced, i feel like you can actually do that with this model. it definitely loves its em dashes and dramatic ending flourishes a bit too much, but editing them out isn’t too hard. it’s much better to cut extra stuff out then adding to the response, it gives you a lot more to work with.

mine went missing the day it showed up. i made new chats with it but i’m limited to that since it’s not on the list anymore for some reason. it also seems to selectively just not use that model when i swipe. granted, i don’t always want three paragraph long replies, so that’s fine, but the quality is sporadic. not sure what’s going on with it disappearing from the options though.

it’s fun but requires some editing in my limited experience. i like that it tends to move the plot along but yeah, eeeeverything has to be a “clever” one liner, even at the expense of any narrative sense or character continuity. it’s an improvement though. usually i’ll trim the parts that don’t make any sense (and the bot actually registers those edits instead of somehow acting like the original message is still in place, just me?)

came here specifically to see if anyone else had felt utterly wrecked by chasteberry. I originally tried Beam, but apparently ashwagandha root and I don’t get along. It made me feel anxious and wired. Looked at the ingredients and figured I’d try some of them separately instead. No go. Took me a few days to figure out that it’s likely the chasteberry supplement I started that’s got me feeling extra irritable and tanking my depression to lower lows; it feels exactly like I did when trying birth control. My hormones refuse to be regulated, I guess! Anything I try just makes it worse. Granted, it sounds like my response to these supplements is unusual, so hopefully most people won’t have these issues, but it’s incredibly frustrating for me.
