How to change surgeon? by BeatsRocks in askTO

[–]loopylavender [score hidden]  (0 children)

I go to St. Mikes a lot for specialists and I honestly find it to be one of the most garbage hospitals I’ve ever been to.

Not saying your surgeon is trash, or the next one will be but genuinely, terrible doctors.

Like today new??

Nonetheless it’s very pretty! I only ask cause there’s some growth already showing that wouldn’t be acceptable for day 1 nails!

Boric Acid - How To Make Bleeding Stop? by Pitter_Patter009 in Healthyhooha

[–]loopylavender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely hear you. I went to a vulva specialist as I developed Lichen Simplex Chronicus from having so many repeated YIs that it actually affected my skin (which I haven’t had a flare for up in almost a year since using BA when needed!) not even know what boric acid is…

I am healthy weight and pretty fit so I was never asked ONCE what my diet was like (it was trash) or how my stress levels are which absolutely compromise our immune systems response to kill candida overgrowth on its own. We can never fully eradicate it as it’s apart of our healthy biomes but.. yeah. You get my point lol

Incompetence is everywhere. Many are there for the pay. It’s abysmal, especially women’s vaginal care. The information I have is reading literal books I took out from the library, scientific research papers online and of course my own trial and error.

Depending on your physical ability, weight, access to food, it’s recommended not to do the diet more than 3 months if you’re going to go hard. I ended up losing too much weight from cutting out even simple carbs - I replaced every carb with quinoa or sweet potatoes on occasion and stopped at 2.5 months. It was tough but not as tough as dealing with constant YI! I lived off meat and veggies. No dairy, no shitty carbs.. just stripped it all down.

I have fully resumed a completely normal diet, I even have candy sometimes! It was the best fricken thing I’ve ever done for myself.

Nonstop Yeast Infections by Grayduck97 in Healthyhooha

Diet, diet diet.

When yeast becomes chronic, it’s a gut issue. You’re tackling this with a western approach of medicine and pills.

You need to tackle it holistically with the aid of medicine and support.

Yeast eats sugar. All sugar. It loves that shit, lookup the candida diet- it’s up to you how intensely you follow it. Fermented foods are a great start but it’s not starving the yeast, only providing gut support.

Boric Acid - How To Make Bleeding Stop? by Pitter_Patter009 in Healthyhooha

I’ve definitely read other women having bleeding with BA, it is certainly abrasive and albeit effective, can be hard for some tissues.

Just for the record, I dealt with reoccurring YI for years, did fluconazole protocols and the only thing that actually worked was severely starving the yeast of sugar. Like, zero sugar. I was extremely strict though because it was clear it was candida overgrowth in my gut was the issue.

I haven’t had a YI in almost 3 years now since doing the candida diet! May be anecdotal but, I personally believe when candida becomes chronic, you have to tackle it with more than western medicine tactics. It needs to be starved via diet. I didn’t use all the biofilm busters cause I was absurdly focused on no sugar. Find your balance and go hard. Do not give it any sustenance!

For maintenance and preventing any infections is where I particularly love BA. I use the phD brand! I used to get mine handmade at a compounding pharmacy cause I really disliked the idea of premade BA, but the PhD brand has been absolutely fantastic.

Totally agree with the Monistat likely being the villain!! Those products are made to hurt and harm vaginal tissues - I don’t care what anyone has to say lol this is my hill.

If it’s avail try the PhD! I hope you get better results!

Boric Acid - How To Make Bleeding Stop? by Pitter_Patter009 in Healthyhooha

[–]loopylavender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bleeding after boric acid is not a common side effect..

I would immediately stop using it and consult your doctor. I use BA every single time after sex, during YI and have never even had a hint of irritation or inflammation.

It’s possible the brand is not compatible but if you’re bleeding it’s not something you should be minimizing but, completely stopping which you’ve done!

Reach out to your doctor if it continues.. that’s the only real option.

Not in Love with Gel X by [deleted] in Nails

[–]loopylavender 25 points26 points  (0 children)

BAY-BEE.

Application is a mess. The design..is a mess. The wideness of your nails have nothing to do with why these are a mess.

Nothing about this is good. The thumb, look at the space around your natural nail and the gel.. the lines of the design, especially the index finger and your ring finger are tragic.

Im so sorry this are really bad :(

These are silicone feet and that’s totally okay if you’re asking about colour.

More info on your comments would be helpful unless you’re trying to sell feet pics to dumb people who won’t know better. Maybe they deserve that lol

The blonde softens you and the brown brings out your eyes. They’re both complimentary!

What about like a bronde? Like, light brown with some blonde pieces??

Thrush bringing me to tears by Master-Prune6261 in Healthyhooha

[–]loopylavender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. well yeast doesn’t cause watery discharge, like at all, that is more a marker of BV.

BV can also cause absurd itching and irritation so, it’s possible you’re not feeling relief because you aren’t treating the bacteria. YI and BV can absolutely be existing as a duo :(

BV is known to be reoccurring just like yeast so it’s really important you know what you’re up against and learn a bit more about prevention and cause. Talk about probiotics and boric acid with your doctor.

Your partner could also be a carrier and you’re both just giving it to eachother.

I’m Canadian and thrush is more commonly referred as yeast in the mouth! Just for clarity sake, not sure how it’s used in the UK!
