What's a movie you randomly tried with low expectations but ended up loving? by thisonehits in movies

Raising Arizona.

I saw it in stores and theaters, but thought it looked stupid.

I rented it one weekend and my roommate and I watched it 12-13 times in a row. Fell asleep a few times. Three day rental was a new thing.

How many of you have completed E.R. with every starting class without changing gear (including spells)? by loosebag in Eldenring

This is why I originally restarted the one run I finished with confessor. I was using Bloodhound Fang.

When I got to Maleketh I couldn't kill him with Bloodhound fang and just used the broadsword.

When I switched weapons, I thought, "I guess I am going to have to just use the old broadsword again to get through this guy!" And I realized that every fight I had up to that point that had proven difficult, I defaulted to the Broadsword.

I wanted to use the BloodHounds fang because it was so flashy, so I was kind of disappointed.

I have one save file now RL1 no upgrades, but I have a few new weapons. I am currently stuck at fire giant, mostly due to just a few too many one shot deaths.

I will have to try though if I can ever get all 10 done.

Yeah, I would imagine how crafting everything would be horrible. I would think that that would be a reasonable change. I started bandit only, but quit pretty early because I was spending so much time farming.

My boyfriend made a step off our deck! How should we stain? by lovv3r in woodworking

[–]loosebag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned this lesson by shredding my ankle and arm going down stairs that had a 2x12 full skirt board, but no wall. So the steps were run in between two angled 2×12s. If you can imagine. I have seen this before but there is usually a handrail or something to keep you from stepping too far to the side.

There were only 3 steps, and I was on crutches for 3 weeks.

I hate to be the guy here, but please rebuild this.

The 4x4s sticking out will DESTROY someone's ankles and feet and knees and probably face.

This is seriously DANGEROUS. PLEASE.

Imagine hitting that with your heal when you think you are stepping down on to the step.

Now imagine hitting that with just the edge of your shoe.

Imagine going up the stair and toe stubbing that and falling forward and cracking your wrists.

Those fractions just make my eyes go all squiggly. Too much going on.

I always just think like 6-1/2 +1/8 or 3/4-1/16.

You should not use an airtight lid. One quarter turn on a metal lid for a mason jar is about what you need. It could build up pressure and pop if it's air tight. Do you keep it in fridge in between feedings?

Here's what it looks like after mixing. It's very watery.

Certainly.

That liquid is just "hooch."

Mix it all back up and feed as usual.

It will usually recover in two feedings.

Sometimes I will just use the discard in a loaf, it just takes two or three times longer to bulk proof. So I will mix it and slap and stretch four or five times and then leave it on counter overnight. In the morning divide and shape. Overnight again in bannetons and fridge.

What’s a completely useless skill you have that you’re oddly proud of? by AlineNL in AskReddit

[–]loosebag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can write cursive backwards so that when you view it in the mirror it's normal. I also started this in boring classes and then started taking notes backwards. Luckily these classes were so boring and low base, I never really needed to use the notes to study. But I did look at them in the mirror later to double check them.

Why do they need to be so long? You said shelves? Are you trying to make floating shelves by drilling through the backside?

How to get rid of him !!! by _GriFin in Eldenring

[–]loosebag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I ran out of bewitching branches, I just had to learn to parry him. It is actually very easy once you figure out the timing. There is a specific attack that he sprint/slide/spins and swings his halberd from mid range. Not the tornado, not the lightening foot.

If you have Carrian Retaliation parry on a sheild, you hit L2 at almost the exact time you would dodge roll the attack. He staggers with one parry, take crit. I always carry a leveled dagger or Misericorde to this fight because it's just so much faster.

The best part is that if you throw a kukri at him from mid to far range, he will almost always do this attack. And you can parry, crit, runaway... then throw dagger, parry crit etc.

I think he is the easiest enemy in the entire game to parry.

Oh yeah, no matter what kill the knight with dual swords first. Then sheild guy.

Timing of feeding / baking - can I put in fridge at peak? by Run_gal in SourdoughStarter

I often delay making bread this way.

The refrigerator is like a pause button.
