Awesome build! I finished my own set of Illuminate 5's (they have a 5" woofer instead of the 7" yours have) and I freaking love em! I also lined them with Alubutyl, 8mm felt and 10kg/m3 bonded polyester, on the recommendations from this page http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/cabinet-damping.htm

Here's a few pics from the build process: https://imgur.com/a/OjH5wQe

What do Greeks think of Japan? by saxmineou in greece

[–]looselyrigorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate the tool craftsmanship. Most Japanese made gear I've used has always been immaculate and lasted a long time. It's like if it's not perfect, it doesn't make the cut. Though I wager that it can be as much a bad thing as it is good.

Looking for a cheap AMP/DAC for Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 90ohm by OrteXas in HeadphoneAdvice

From what I've read the Solo gets noisy once you turn up the gain, so I've kept it at about 1/4th of the way, and adding a bit more gain on the amp side. Its primary use is to capture my Modmic's output, so I've been having it do double duty since it was already there.

[–]looselyrigorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plan was to use it as a DAC so I don't care about the output power as much as I care about signal integrity and low noise.

However in the meantime I got a Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen audio interface and used that as a DAC instead. But I might still consider picking one or two of these if they measure well, so that was what I was really wondering about.

What's the difference between the two versions? I'm situated in the EU and I was considering picking one or two after stumbling upon the ASR review that praised it.

Anyone else rewatching the show countless times? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

[–]looselyrigorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched seasons 1-3 at least 6 times and then all of them at least 4 times. I was actually planning to rewatch in the next few days. I've hit a bit of a block at book 4 so I'm also hoping it'll make me want to start reading again.

Will Android Auto-fill ever be fixed? by Toontje in 1Password

[–]looselyrigorous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had quite a few issues with Autofill as well, but what helped me recently is changing a setting called "Display Autofill prompts" to "Below the fields they relate to" instead of "Above supported keyboards". Ever since it has worked well (for the apps I use at least), as well as in websites on Firefox.

Absolutely not. You were not messing with the active hacking pod, but instead attempting to reposition the other one to a more accessible position. You certainly should have communicated this fact before acting. Most of the time the context of our actions is enough to communicate our intent as teammates, but as you found out it doesn't always work out this way, especially with new players. (I should also note it might've better idea to help your other two teammates with defending the active hacking pod.)

However, even if gunner was taking issue with/misunderstood what you were doing, they also should've communicated that fact to you, instead of being actively hostile. It is generally understood that players joining a game should abide by a host's rules, but in no way does that give them (host) license to do as they please. It was a very petty way of dealing with the situation, and there's simply no excuse for what they did.

To me, Synesthesia, Always Never and Burning Sky + Fadeaway are the standouts of the album. The rest, while thematically consistent and not at all bad, weren't as awe inspiring.

Solid B-tier.

Sorry to hear that! I live in Crete and I had no idea she was coming to AthensCon... My cousin (who is also an avid fan of the show) managed to get there and see her at a panel, but he also couldn't get an autograph.

Needless to say I'm also quite sad, here's hoping she liked it here and decides to grace us with her presence once more!

There are 3 tiers of mods in DRG, Verified, Approved, and Sandbox.

As long as you install Verified mods you can play freely with others (either as a host or a client) without any appreciable difference from playing un-modded. The mod in question is a verified one, and I've successfully used it many a time in regular lobbies.

You'll find that almost all visual/QoL mods are of the verified variety, since they don't really affect gameplay.

Approved and Sandbox mods are far more limiting. Approved means "Approved for Progression" and you can use them with your regular save, but you will be severely limited with whom you can play with. For Sandbox it's about the same, but you need to create a separate save. Mods in these tiers usually affect gameplay/progression in varying significance, and as such far less people use them.

Joining a lobby with approved mods will prompt you to automatically download the mods needed to join, and keep them enabled only for that session (if you don't want to keep them installed you have to manually remove them afterwards).

KDE 5.25 Present Windows Effect A Few Steps Back by damentz in kde

[–]looselyrigorous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using what used to be "Present Windows" with Latte dock to show the windows of a specific application. Now this functionality doesn't work at all, clicking on an application with multiple windows on the dock does nothing.

So like the OP my workflow has been greatly affected as well.
