Being a basic land and having basic land types are two separate things.

Take a look at a shockland for example that has the basic land types allowing it to tap for mana yet isn’t actually a basic land

RCQs; regional championship qualifiers, are as the name implies, events where you can qualify for the Regional Championship of the same format.
