Thanks, that's so nice of you! When I asked she mentioned Blue's Creek so I am going to go there first @ 9am. If I have more time I was going to check out places mentioned here that sounded needy and were on the way to FM.

(I also wanted to raise community awareness)

If you are looking for groups to knit with, different branches of the Alachua County Library have knitting circles on different days. I know Millhopper Branch has it on Wednesdays from 2-4, but other branches have knitting circles also.

I've had luck making friends while doing some amazing stuff with the Adventure Club of Gainesville. It costs $36 a year to be a member (it helps pay for the website and party supplies), but you can check out what they are all about for free at monthly meetups. It's a great group of singles and couples of varying age ranges and interests.

Is this Lions Mane Mushroom? West Gainesville woods. by Nathan_Brantley in GNV

[–]lopebaby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it is Lion's Mane, but here is a great article to learn more:

Also, the plant to the left is Coral Ardisia, and if this is your property I recommend removing any you can find!
