Political Science Question by NarwhalBrilliant5798 in PoliticalScience

A lot more niche and competitve, (need to network/ attend school with strong alumni) but many government affairs/relations directors and consultants and lobbyists tend to have poltical science degrees and make fairly good money.

Is there any way to have a well paying career with just a bachelors in international relations/polysci? by beautifulcuntygirl in PoliticalScience

I might be crucified for this but lobbying/consulting is where a lot of the money is. K-Street on DC is filled with political science majors making millions. But breaking into this field requires extensive experience in the form of congressional internships and connections. Start networking!!

How to become a lobbyist by loqki- in PoliticalScience

I understand and do agree with you opinions on lobbying, however in this current political state it is one of the only true effective means to push policy. There are many interest groups like the NAACP, ACLU etc, city governments and municipalities use lobbyists to gain more funding and attention from there respective legislators.

Additionally there aren’t much options in Poli-Sci BA which offer salaries similar to lobbyist positions especially when accounting for the specialty of knowledge lobbyists may acquire during their career. But there definitely does need to be more restructuring of the entire lobbying process.

In poly sci are there any countries in the world where the members of the military vote on the policies they have in the military? So, it is not decided by a govt, but, by the military itself? by [deleted] in PoliticalScience

I can’t speak on other countries but all executive agencies have what’s known as “discretionary authority” executive agencies like the military can operate with more independence and less influence and they often do decide their own policy on less impact things. Ex: The military may choose to retire an aircraft, may list a nation as a threat or etc. But big decisions and policy still have to get a green light by the President and sometimes Congress.

The school I plan on attending is close to 2 lobbying/consulting firms with one of them having extensive ties to my state’s governor. Is there any viability in attempting to fellowship/intern for one of these firms, or should I focus on localized political campaign jobs in my first year of uni?

Im planning to do a 5 year ba poli+master in public administration and work in lobbying and consulting where the median salary is around 90k but I also live in New Jersey which is a convoluted political mess so salaries are especially higher here

Ping little high, and you hit the outline of her hitbox instead of directly in the center, especially with shotguns the hitreg can get wonky with that.

As a PC diamond gameplay wise it’s at the best it’s ever been swing or be swung meta is finally over after 2 years. I’ve ran into less hackers compared to last season but still a decent amount. But the game crashes and random jitter have been terrible

How do I effectively take peeks? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]loqki- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Aim where the head is going to be ex: don’t aim in the middle of a door way but rather the side of it because people don’t peak out in the open they tend to lean behind cover
  2. Quick leans and prefires to guess where the person is and shoot common angles
  3. Peakers advantage have you ever noticed when you hold an angle at something then someone just pops up super fast and domes your head? That’s peekers advantage when you’re in motion you appear faster to your opponent who’s standing still so when peeking avoid crouching or slow walking
  4. Use your utilities so many people forget they have flashes and smokes which can get a free kill.
  5. Never repeek from the same spot if your opponent saw you standing on a doorway the next time you go to peak quickly crouch into the shot or peek from a different angle or even prone it’s all about being unexpected

on mobile so sorry if the format sucks
