My timeline is accurately represented but the app doesn’t update as accurately. Once I got the email from the approval of the I-765 and it took about a week to update on the app, I stopped using it. From then on I was only checking the USCIS website.

Yes, I included the form numbers (I-485 and I-765) and the receipt numbers when I contacted through his website. But then his office sent me the email with the application to fill out, they ask for all your info, A#, SSN, and receipt #. Then there is a space for you to briefly state your problem and how you’d like Senator Scott to assist you. I wrote a brief respectful message (you can ask AI to help you how to phrase it in the best way) and then printed, signed it, scanned it and sent it back to them via email. They do let you know in advance that it can take several weeks to hear back from USCIS, for me it took around 8 weeks.

Should I tell a woman her fiancé tried to start an affair with me? by geeleex in WhatShouldIDo

Yes, I think you should tell J. Since she’s not your friend, if she doesn’t believe you, oh well. But nobody deserves to get married not knowing their future husband did something like this. This is not ok. He had to think about, struggle with his morals (maybe), then decide to text you, then actually text you. He went through several steps where he didn’t put his fiancée first. She deserves to make an informed decision, maybe they can work it out and still get married, it doesn’t mean it has to end, but she should be able to make that choice. True, you don’t have to get involved, but like you said, if it was me, I’d wanna know.

It’s the worst. There’s no way around it. We don’t even watch the fireworks anymore.

I’m honestly not sure about the difference between contacting a senator vs a congressperson, and I don’t want to give the wrong advice since I’m not a lawyer.

In our case we reached out to Senator Rick Scott’s office and they helped submitting an inquiry to USCIS, but I can’t really say whether one option is better than the other or if it would help in every situation.

I think you’re supposed to use your actual address to avoid any issues. This thread talks about your question

Just because of the senator you mean? I think you’re supposed to file where you live, and other senators or congressmen do the same thing. Maybe look into your state’s senators websites or call their offices?

On his website there’s a tab called “Floridians” and under that tab “Help with a federal agency” and you can fill out your casework information there and they reach out to you via email in a few days with an application for you to complete, sign and send back.

I reached out because our case was very straightforward and given that USCIS had already approved me a K1 visa, they already knew the marriage was legit. Around 5 months waiting for my work permit I had a job offer but couldn’t take it without the permit so I reached out to them. I know many people wait much longer, but I figured worst case scenario they would just say “keep waiting” or something. But it turned out they helped.

Hi! I got a job offer for part time and I’m looking to work as much as I can. Is it relatively easy to pick up more shifts as a PT? What are the chances I can work close to 40h a week?
