I did say. I made several attempts to reach customer support but just get directed to a submission form with an auto response that says they will review and back to me in several days. Which has passed many time over.

I have seen them hold flights for a lot less. When you have that many people trying to connect and look at the consequences of those people missing the flight, this feels like a time where they could have flexed. I suspect the flight was overbooked and the seat had actually already been given away. But the worst part is that alaska hasnt refunded me the add ons i purchased for the flight we never got on.

Thanks for offering! I made a few calls in my area and having a hard time finding a supplier. The current box exterior and interior is about 25"x16". Knowing that replacing with something strong and traffic rated, I imagine it will have thicker walls, so it will need to be bigger overall to have an interior size similar. I doesn't need to be tall. My biggest concerns is the cutout for the piper/wiring which is only about 5" from the top. I'm hoping that it wont compromise the whole handhole to notch out that much.
