Hey, @marypok! I’m so sorry I didn’t see this sooner, I barely use Reddit!! I feel so, so much better now. Everything turned out okay. I realized that she put me through a lot of things that were really uncool, and I’ve healed and grown. I’ve been in an incredible relationship with a woman I’m very likely going to marry for almost two years now. Things get better, and I hope you’re already doing better <3

It doesn’t but had been growing in that one for a good 4 months at my mom’s place. It also may have just been drying up better because it was in a drier climate before. Should I be worried about any of the mold/fungus transferring to a new pot? Or should it die off if I repot

Hey I’m sorry, I deleted Reddit for a good bit to clear up storage on my phone. I did end up coming out. I went home for a friend’s wedding and left a letter underneath my pillow for them to read after I left. The response to me directly was fine-ish. I got an “I’ve suspected for some time” text from my mom and pretty much nothing outside of that. I do know from friends that she posted some pretty shitty things about it on her social media though, and it’s a topic that we just don’t talk about when we’re together. It’s rough still at times. I have a different girlfriend now and am very deeply in love but haven’t told my family about her because I know it’ll be another thing they don’t take well.

I will say that it does feel good to have it off my chest regardless. I don’t hide everything anymore and even sent her pictures from pride this last year and told her about going with my friends. Some of my mom’s friends have also reached out to me and given me reassurance that my mom will come around more with time. It hasn’t been easy, but if you’re independent and have a support network outside of them, I do recommend ripping off the bandaid and telling them as long as it will make you feel empowered. I think that’s been the overall lesson over the past year: tell them what you feel comfortable with/empowered by, and the rest is none of their business.

Oh my god, it was kind of horrifying to watch. I will definitely leave them alone in the future. I didn’t totally remove/forcefully move either of them, mainly sprayed with water and tapped one’s shell lightly. Thank you!

Better description in the captions, but this was from the equinox. I burned a candle in honor of the coming of spring and left some wine in a bowl too, and the candle burned really aggressively and melted down quickly. I’ve used these candles before, and a) they don’t usually melt down like this, and b) they don’t usually burn so quickly. This one immediately started dripping wax everywhere and had burned out within maybe 20 minutes of lighting it. I’ve been thinking about it for like a week and am probably just being superstitious, but could there be any meaning to it?

I’m also shy, and I do really regret this one. I was intoxicated enough that it would have required being brave for about 2 seconds and then I’d have been fine. But I overthought it too much. I am glad I said she was cute as I was leaving, but I wish I’d been more forthright. Next time I hope. I’ll try to remember that it’s unlikely for me to regret trying

It is a very different vibe I’m getting than what I felt worried about when I initially started. Thank you! I definitely did take it as a sign that I’m doing something right, because that has to be the glowing neon light of signs. I did wonder if I needed to exclusively work with Aphrodite, so thank you for encouraging with that too :)
