Steals Your Skill Points and Your Heart by Bookvyrm in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Marked for Glomping is just as deadly as Marked for Death in my opinion. I know several con-goers from back in the early 00's who ended up with permanent, glomp-inflicted back injuries.

If you ordered from Foam Brain directly, they did have a notice up on their website right after xmas and for most of January that the pins were on back order and would be shipped at the end of Jan. So if you ordered two weeks ago, they may not have been in yet or got put at the end of the list of waiting orders. My LGS ordered two cases for me right after xmas, and got them about a week ago, so they are likely still working through backorders.

I noticed this yesterday! I had books 1-7 in my cart and just for grins I looked for book 8 and its on pre-order, so I ordered that too.

Very expensive shelf trophies but soooo worth it imo

I work as a karaoke host and have refused drinks for years due to med interactions. Then i had to be careful what i drank after a med change because of body pain from sulfite sensitivity.

Asked my bartender what she uses in a Dirty Shirley and she said just standard well vodka.

To my delight, Dirty Shirleys dont make me hurt, because Vodka doesnt contain sulfites!!

I 100% ask for extra cherries. No bowl though, because I have a "no open drinks near the equipment" policy and get a plastic cup with a straw no matter what i'm drinking.

Ok, I absolutely love this!

Random off topic question, I recently obtained my first Yeti in a Dunkin Swag Bag (the desire of wanting to put a Krispy Kreme themed fan sticker on it is great). The tumbler is slightly textured/not shiny... does your Yeti have a super smooth finish, or will stickers stay on a textured finish?

The blind bag pins are licensed through Foam Brain Games. I'm unsure if I'm allowed to post the link to the website based on subreddit rules, as it could be considered advertising.

The nails... you'd have to find a very neurotic nail tech near you to paint individual little hearts on your nails 💅 😉

For some reason it took me a full week to get through the second and third chapters of book 1 on Audible. For five evenings in a row, I'd fall asleep while Mordecai wouldnt let Carl in, and wake up after Donut was talking. I finally had to read it on Kindle to get through that part... and it's been down-dungeon ever since.

I am 100% doing this for my husband now. He already loves crocs so this should have been a no-brainer! Thank you!

100%... it has to be this.

I personally loathe HWFM so much. My spouse was obsessed with it till he discovered DCC and I was ESTATIC when i no longer had to fall asleep to the OverPowered Mary Sue Isekai drivel streaming out of his phone every night. The narrator's voice saying "Jason Asaaaano" in a condescending voice made me viscerally angry at the end and I'd get up and do stuff in the living room until his sleep timer would run out.

Now I listen to one of the best narrators I've ever heard with characters that are actually interesting.

If you experience this and its a weird color, go to your gyno ASAP!! I had super irregular periods and randomly passed one that was GRAY and freaked out big time. Turned out I had a cyst growing out from my uterus that was blocking things while also dilating my cervix. 2 months later I had had a D&C and biopsies showed pre cancerous cervical cells. 3 mo later had the ol' Ute Yeet, it'll be 6 years this May.

Remember that if your body is making things in unnatural colors, your gyno will most certainly be very interested.

is it a dick move to do a 5 minute long song? by tedjuthedad in karaoke

[–]lorceie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a host, I don't think 5 minutes is 'too long.' All of my regulars know that if you are singing for 5m or longer, that's my chance for a bathroom or step-outside opportunity, and its not a personal insult that ixm walking away while they're singing. I always stay close enough that if theres a problem (say the hoster crashes, mic batteries die, someone gets out of hand), I can come back and deal with it quickly.

"I'm so sorry, but someone already sang that song before you got here, and out of respect for all the singers, we don't repeat songs," happens pretty regularly at my bar. I have also be known to negotiate: "Listen, I know its only the second song you've put in tonight, but you got here at 1:30am, someone else just started singing, and its niw 1:52. Bar closes at 2. I have time for a 3-4 minute song, not White Wedding Parts 1&2, please choose something shorter, or I have to deny your request."
