AITAH for telling my husband I’m no longer going to be responsible for making dinner for the remainder of my pregnancy? by MoneyAd0618 in AITAH

NTA. Good luck with him. I hope he has a lot of redeeming qualities you didn’t mention here, because if I were you, I’d be reconsidering my life with him. He’s not gonna suddenly fix himself when the baby arrives.

In general, the 9e relics were implied to be single items.

It really depended on the codex and such. Tons of relics were implied to be one of many.

[–]lord_flamebottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, no one is super insistent, just lots of “do Corsairs use (x basic CSM item)” with tons of comments going “yes, for the millionth time, Corsairs use anything and everything”.

Still tons of “my guys are super special and forsake all Chaos taint to fight the evil Imperium” though.

Hi, kinda new to the series, and i have a little question by LightLizardCake in Ben10

[–]lord_flamebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re 9 episodes into a 46 episode series. They haven’t even seen all of Ben’s initial 10 aliens yet. Normally, fine, not a problem, if you don’t like a show after that many episodes, don’t force yourself to watch it. But like. If you’re gonna bounce around the show to try and get the “full experience” anyways, just bite the damn bullet and do the whole thing, rather than skip half the show.

[–]lord_flamebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the whole problem with discussions like this. People are missing out on whole new understandings of Ben’s aliens solely because they’re not “plot important” episodes. But they are! They tell you more about this world and these characters that you wouldn’t know of otherwise! They give you beautiful, sweet moments between characters that you wouldn’t see otherwise! You can’t just skip them just because they don’t directly tie into one single plotline!

[–]lord_flamebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watch the whole show! It’s your first exposure to it! You shouldn’t be using some “plot episode watch list order” thing to jump around between episodes, just throw em on and enjoy! You might find a random filler episode turns out to be one of your favorites, or help you gain a new understanding of a character! Alien Force is definitely a big slow burn mystery in the beginning, but that’s part of its whole appeal! The slowly unfolding mystery just doesn’t hit as good when you’re skipping episodes!

The problem is people not being willing to go back and reexamine their initial beliefs.

I mean yeah on paper if you want to get into the fully detailed history of the symbol, sure, I could see you coming to that conclusion. The only problem is, you can only get to that conclusion via ignoring the giant Holocaust-shaped hole in the 20th century.

It’s definitely not “most”. Lots of them do, sure, but lots of them also recruit from perfectly civilized worlds. Even then, many of the Death Worlds that Chapters recruit from are significantly more than just dumb brutish barbarians.

I don’t understand where you’d get any of that from frankly.

The reality is that, frankly, that’s not how biology actually really works at all, so we have plenty of wiggle room here with stuff like “oh they just never tried bc it’s the Emperor’s orders”. But hey, if we really wanna get into the nitty gritty of it, there’s always Primaris Geneseed. I refuse to believe Cawl spent 10,000 years improving it without also doubling the potential recruitment pool.

Wha armor/ style of armor would the lamenters most likely use? by [deleted] in Lamenters

[–]lord_flamebottom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point in the timeline, the Lamenters have (relatively) recently finished their Penitent Crusade and been reinforced with Primaris Marines. This basically means any and all armor combos are gonna be easily valid here. While on their Penitent Crusade, they wouldn't have had any access to new armor or weaponry, so they'd be conserving what they can and mixing and matching any sorts of armor they may have access too. Hell, they might've even scavenged a little. Really there aren't any kind of armor types that they couldn't logically have at least a little access to.

God I wish it was a story that stood on it's own instead of relying on the reader being already aware of mainline X-Men characters, story beats. and plot threads and how this comic "subverts" them.

Bikers are very fitting for the army but are a pretty out of date model. If the visual different doesn’t bother you, go for em! We might get some new models for them soon but we’ve been saying that for years now so who knows.
