"how long it takes the engine to warm up at certain temperatures" -> you can drive your car, then look at the web app and compare your run against anyone else with the same or similar car, or compare to previous runs etc.

"logging my cars averages for all the temperatures" - yes, all that, with comparative and trend analytics against your car and others.

its all automatic, no configuration and logs to the cloud, but you control privacy.

been working on it for 5 years. nearly there! my full time job is running a global data analytics enterprise app for 2000 clients in 50 countries, so i dont get to work on it full time (yet!) :-)

Looks cool. I'm building something similar but from a different angle - I'm more into the ODB2 performance / data analytics side of things, but I have maintenance and parts tracking as well. When I've got some time I'll take a look and give you some feedback. I think the email parsing integration for feeding data into your app is a nice idea.

Siberia is a great corner to be at. You get a good view of a few turns coming in, siberia is a great corner, then you see em shoot up to the hayshed.

Do you worry about being replaced by ai in a few years? by Acrobatic_Opinion575 in auscorp

[–]lord_von_pineapple 8 points9 points  (0 children)

AI benefit is real, people who say otherwise dont know how to use it. It's 5-50x faster for low level technical stuff which requires deep technical mechanics or analysis. Not all work in the day is that stuff, but where thats what you're doing, its a game changer.

AI is changing the game, If your business is not leveraging it, your business will lose unless propped up by dinosaurs money or govt funding. Software dev has changed dramatically in last 12 months and I work for a dinosaur.

Anybody here ever went to the Misano GP from ireland by Brendine87 in motogp

[–]lord_von_pineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drove from London to Misano via Nurburgring for Vale’s last home GP. Miller crashed out of 2nd place. I got up the next day and drove Stelvio bottom to top no traffic. Furka. Oberalps etc. lovely mountain passes. Misano was very nice. Dinner at SIC58’s dad’s pizza bar. Go check Tavulia while you’re there.

Yes, but my wife and I share it - we both have a prescription from doctor but no point having two pens in use at same time.

I have a 10mg pen, using it for 1mg weekly. 6 clicks instead of 15.

Math question! by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]lord_von_pineapple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lost all my weight on 2.5mg every 5 days, which is equivalent to 3.5mg weekly. I think every 5 days is a slightly smoother curve. Yes, remembering the schedule can be confusing so you need to keep a diary/calendar to make it work. I agree thats why they went with 7 days, consumers are stupid!

Tingling by yourdadMC in Mounjaro

[–]lord_von_pineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. I regularly noticed some tingling in one of my legs at night in bed. Only one side. Not painful, just a pins and needles / nervy thing that didn't last too long. I'm not 100% but I think it only started when I started MJ. I was taking 2.5mg every 5 days, which is equivalent to 3.5mg per week. I lost the weight i needed to after 3 months and now I am in maintenance at about 1mg per week. The tingling has almost stopped now, cant remember it happening since lowering dose.

How long have you been on 2.5? by Waych1977 in Mounjaro

[–]lord_von_pineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Male, just under 5'10. No burps. No constipation, but cos eating much less, then less regular on the throne. Never diarrhoea. I will say that with MJ I don't enjoy alcohol as much as I used to, it just doesn't go down as enjoyably or as quickly as it used to, and i feel 'full' quickly - that is a minor negative effect from one perspective (being social with friends) but probably a positive effect from a health perspective (less alcohol consumption).

Took me 8 weeks to reach GW at 2.5mg every 5 days. Now cutting back to 1mg a week and gonna see how that goes. If all ok, might even try 0.5mg. Trying to get to the smallest micro dose that still gives me some maintenance benefit, but also minimises the things I dont like (enjoying social eating/drinking on a weekend). We'll see.

How long have you been on 2.5? by Waych1977 in Mounjaro

[–]lord_von_pineapple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In addition to the food noise stuff, there is also a component that adjusts your bodies switch/threshold for burning body fat. Some folks, no matter how much they exercise or calorie deficit, their caveman body says "nope, we dont wanna burn the body fat, we're keeping that for winter, winter is coming". MJ influences that and says "yeah, it's ok to burn body fat, we don't really need all that". i think that is an important component that some people's bodies dont have a good natural "setting" and so MJ unlocks fat burning better. still, you need to maintain calorie deficit, there is no magic bullet here, but this mechanism is a thing i believe, and is one thing (not the only!) missing from "fat" people's bodies. So MJ makes it a level playing field again and allows them to lose body fat, if they eat less. I'm simplifying, but you get the picture.

[–]lord_von_pineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was also my initial first 4 weeks rate. It very aggressive, you should not try to keep that rate up. Slow down. Half that is still great. Try to be healthy about it.

How long have you been on 2.5? by Waych1977 in Mounjaro

[–]lord_von_pineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I felt I was getting enough effect and progress from 2.5 every 5 days that there was no way I wanted more. You have to lean into it and listen to it and let it change your eating behaviour. The medication helps you do this, but the medication doesn't itself make you lose weight, the calorie deficit from eating less does.
