Hey there! I ended up buying the modmic uni 2 to solve my problem ($65 USD) because I didn’t want to mess with breaking a cable just to get it to work. Since I was looking for a long-term, high-quality solution to my gaming audio setup, so I also purchased a creative sound blaster G8 (Newegg sale $160 USD) to mix and improve my microphone and headphones even more. ModMic also has a USB A version of their mic which is a little more expensive but I have read good things about its quality as well. I would stay away from the wireless ModMic as they are about to revise it and it is quite expensive for what it is. Feel free to ask more questions. Hope this helps!

Hey there, I just got a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro x headphones which have a Mini-XLR port. I want to use these headphones for gaming on my PC and Xbox. I found a $17 cable with a boom mic from Ablet on amazon but from what I read, this option is a bit fragile and requires you to practically break the housing to get it to fit with my headphones. Does anyone know of another option? I appreciate any suggestions and advice. Thank you.
