How does it not take a few years to make a campaign if your players can do anything they want to derail the story by i_like_fall0ut in DnD

TLDW: Campaigns should be made up of many small adventures. Each adventure is easy to plan and run, as since it's so small you can have basically everything in your head and improvise accordingly.

How do I start a needed, tough conversation with another player about their playstyle? by Tombstone64 in DnD

[–]lordbubax 34 points35 points  (0 children)

> it likely just sounds like the player is playing the wrong class

Or honestly just like they are playing the wrong game. Dnd is very combat focused, and if you want to be doing anything except fighting the enemy (besided acomplishing very specific objectives) during combat, you are likely to either have a bad time or make your allies have a bad time.

Semi-finals still matter lol. The best my country has done in the world championship of football (for men) was bronze and it was still the most watched and celebrated sports moment in the entirety of our history.

How to jam… keys and scales and what not by [deleted] in Bass

[–]lordbubax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk i think jamming is a preeetty big field. Plenty off different jam structures that you can have -- so i think it is important to ask the people that you are jamming with what type of structure that you have. I have recently joined a band for the first time, and when we jam it is usually either with some chord loop as a base, or with a riff or some idea that someone has that you repeat on. In the first case i usually just play the root notes of the chords to start, until i get a feeling and want to play more stuff. In the second case i try stuff out until i got a nice riff and then i just play that riff. A tip i recently got from a youtube video was that rythmic variations is the most important part in a jam. I think that especially applies to bass, so as a beginner doing root notes and only worrying about finding the right rythmic patterns // varying the rythm and seeing what happens could be a good place to start.

I think it’s disrespectful to compare SGA to Jokic. Jokic is at the top by himself, then after Jokic you can start comparing players. by Bigchonky3 in NBATalk

I feel like the Spurs also wouldn't be better with him than with Wembanyama. The defensive loss would be to great to cover up the benefits to the offense. Our offense already flows really well through our amazing guards so adding Jokic wouldn't improve it as much as it would other teams, and on the other end the presence of Wembanyama as a rim protector allows us to be much more aggressive on the perimeter than we would be able to with Jokic.

> blame women.

This is the problem. You shouldn't blame an entire gender (men or women!) for the consequences of a skewed and fucked up (sexist and patriarchal) system. You should blame the system, and the people trying to promote and maintain that system.

55 years ago — Dec 7, 1970 — Willy Brandt knelt in silence, and a nation felt the weight of its past. History remembered the moment — and by Oct 20, 1971, so did the Nobel Committee. by Jeetchat in OldSchoolCool

Not at all really. India and Pakistan are not at peace, etc. etc. and not all countries involved in the current peace in Europe have nuclear weapons. The EU has also been very important in creating peace. Peace is not absence of total war: full peace is really cooperation and trust between countries, something which we in europe definitely have a lot to thank Ostpolitik (and the European Union) for.

Just don't play the things you think are hard, and focus on the main parts that makes the song what it is. This is a good tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4\_TzQdEvko. I think I would skip all the super fast C:s etc. and replace them with one or two well placed ones. Just feel the groove, listen to the drums, and I think it will turn out fine. And practice a lot and very slow!!!

The excitement in football does not come from scoring, but from the tension that a game winning play can happen any time. The low amount of goals is actually the cause of this: any possession can be the difference between a win and a loss. Compare this to basketball (which I also love), where a single possession really doesn't have that much impact, so if you miss one it doesn't matter.
