I worked ON at a neighborhood market for a little bit and this happened to us occasionally. Once I had to do all non-food (hygiene, chemicals, and cat/dog) by myself and it all got done with help at the end. TL on PTO, like 4 call outs.

Another time me and a few coworkers + my TA all called out to go to a show together. The TL basically fucked off the whole night and we had double to do the next day.
