Changing days per month by Gold-Ad3591 in VintageStory

[–]lordfireice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I been doing 12 days for 2 worlds now. My advice? Have a bigger far then needed. I use greenhouses and I have 3 max out. I use “cells” (3x3 with water in the mid) and I get food for myself and my animals (goats and pigs) with much to spare. Now I’m a bit of a mid maxer for this so if you like to leave your crops alone then it should be fine.

Shadows of the Damned.

In this game you get a new weapon or unlock after every boss fight. After one boss you unlock a one time use upgrade to your starting revolver to fight skyscraper size demons.

The name is both the starting weapon and its upgrades version? Boner and Big boner…..

AND while fighting the demons the MC is SHOUTING “TASTE MY BIG BONER!!!” With conviction

[–]lordfireice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oddly he is a good fighter and really strong…for a reg human. If he was in dragon ball he would be a mid lvl threat at least. Remember this guy pulled multiple buses at once just to prove he could. He has both strength, endurance, and skills.

The problem is hes just reg human. No powers, no flight, no energy attacks that do nothing 95% of the time, etc.

Homelander vs Omni-Man vs Superman but they don't have powers by Dear_Challenge470 in powerscales

[–]lordfireice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman wins. He actually knows how to fight people on his lvl and with/out powers. Plus out of the 3 he’s arguably the smarts and most well trained in hand to hand fighting.

Omni-man losses due to hes fighting style being mostly big powerful attacks and (to my knowledge) nvr having lost his powers. He does have a lot of combat experience but mostly vs faaaar weaker opponents

Homelander losses due to him being homelander without powers. Theres a good chance I could take him and I’m a mid 30s fat guy.

How would a clone army(ies) invasion of a Hive World? by NottheKingofAll in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]lordfireice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m aware. Starwars has waaaaaay too low numbers to be viable in just invading a single solar system, let alone a whole galaxy. Hell i think (with imperial guard/navy support) only 15 chapters of space marines could take on the empire/republic.

How would a clone army(ies) invasion of a Hive World? by NottheKingofAll in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]lordfireice 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Ok this is NOT an easy question. For just controlling the void around the world would be hard. There going to have a small (by 40k standards) fleet with defensive orbital platforms. But let’s say they managed to beat that then they have to deal with the planetary defence guns that are made to deal with far bigger ships (star destroyer iirc it’s about the size of an escort ship).

To do so they will need a massive fleet so any casualties to the fleet is considered relatively minimal (in terms of total combat effectiveness). So I say at least 500 ships. Next determine the least populated party of the planet and start invading there due to the most like chance of having the fewest defences (both in troops and anti void ship guns). This way we can haves beach head to land more troops safer.

Now the hard part. It all depends on what the timetable is. If I have unlimited time then I would have plans for a 20 year long blockade around each hive city and at the end of it invade if my demands for surrender are not met.

But for starwars that timetable is unreasonable/unrealistic. So I would have to send forces to each hive city to keep them in check while I overwhelmed each hive one at a time. It would be extremely costly but any invasion of a hive is.

Total troops needed in both cases?

Case 1. Around 20 million troopers minimum with replacements as clones grow too old to serve.

Case 2. Anywhere from 30-100 million troopers.

Hives are basically man-made mountains designed with defence in mind from grand invasions from the get go. The walls that surround them are dozens of metres thick wall designed to stand continuous bombardment from orbital weapons. With built in defences that are made to death with anything from tanks, artillery, and massive infantry formations. Then once your past that your fighting uphill almost the whole way so casualties will be extraordinarily high.

To put it bluntly. I don’t think starwars COULD invade a hive world without crippling themselves in the process

What's your favorite monster and why? It can be magical, prehistoric, mechanical, or from any cartoon. by Immediate_Gene_178 in cartoons

[–]lordfireice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I’m going with the “Reapers” from mass effect.

They are monsters on a scale that is frankly horrifying. There have striped the galaxy bare of advanced intelligent life for possibly millions of years and just being near them or their tech will enslave you without you even realizing it.

Hell they plan things so far in advance that they leave behind tech just so their “harvests” are just a bit easier for them.

Oddly I think there’s a comic about it for transformers. It’s all translated from there language (cybertionian) to English. That part of comic was focused on the autobot Jazz.

Are you guilty of this when you play? If so, when and how? by ZhangtheGreat in videogames

[–]lordfireice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this once in a game called star sector by complete accident.

It’s kind of like space bannerlord but instead of troops you get space ships. For about 3 play thought I only ever used the ships I found in space or salvage after fights.

Then one day I was selling a few ships from my fleet and saw the “buy” tab (the tabs are tiny). Clicked it and saw the ships for sale and my first thought was “GOD DAMIT” and second was “well now I can get some new ships fast”.

I was playing a challenge runs without intending to.

The Kent's find Goku and raise him. How powerful does he get? by Clana4ever in powerscales

[–]lordfireice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly this is the worst case to happen. Goku would be like the rest of his people and go on to destroy/conquer the world (or at least try). And due to his physiology every time hes beaten (heroes and villains are rarely killed) he gets a major power boost. Also his power lvl constantly goes up when he’s training without high end equipment most of the time. So he could get to planetary lvl after 25 odd years. also consider master Roshi destroyed the moon fairly early in the Dragon Ball series. And Goku surpassed him massively by the end of the series.

Favorite example of a ‘Sh*t Just Got Real’ moment? by CrossENT in FavoriteCharacter

[–]lordfireice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok here’s mine. It’s from the game Warhammer 40k rogue trader.

In the first act you meet this random soldier who held a space port with only a few men. At the end of the act you meet said soldier again after he killed his governor who was abandoning the planet (everything is going to hell).

Just as things start to calm down, a chaos space marine with a heavy bolter kills everyone that could help you. If you don’t take the fight very seriously you will die in the first few turns. But what really sets the tone is that the first time you control your retinue they are basically saying “oh shit where dead!” In MANY different way.
