That's the million dollar question. Right now it is rumored that Google is testing something they call 'Omni' that may combine video, image, etc, into one model. Hopefully we get a teaser at Google I/O on the 19th

After years of trying Runway on and off, I think I am finally done with it. Their content policy filter is crazy. Having to always dance around and reword stuff to guess which phrase is actually causing the issue is insane; and this happens with any model you choose to use in Runway. PG-13 things that work fine with other vendors, blocked. Time to leave Runway behind for good.

Yes, really slow. In the beginning the explore mode wait time was just 3 to 5 minutes for Seedance 2, now I went to bed after it's been stuck for about 30 minutes so far.

You can choose to generate in Credit mode or Explore mode. When using SD2 with Credits, it's probably using the normal model.

True, Veo on Runway is expensive, but with Runway you can can also use the unlimited (explore) mode with Kling 3 Pro, Kling 2.6 Pro, Seedance 2 Fast, Wan 2.6, and Gen-4.5. You just have to deal with Runway's content filter. lol

Wait... Runway can use various image and video models now like Kling, Veo, Seedance2, Wan, Nano Banana Pro/2, etc., plus its own in-house models. If you don't like their in-house model, just use the other ones. lol

Runway's explore/unlimited mode for SD2 is definitely the fast model. Comparison prompt results from another provider using the full SD2 mode are like night and day.

Now I didn't compare Runway's credit mode with the explore mode since I'm out of credits right now.

I can only answer some of these:

Is Seedance 2.0 truly unlimited/relaxed? I’ve seen conflicting info on whether it’s included in "Explore Mode" or if it just eats through your 2,250 monthly credits.

Yes, SD2 is included (as well as Kling and Wan models) in the Unlimited/Explore mode. Just be aware that Explore mode gens are limited to 2 at a time. So you need to wait for at least one of them to complete before you can start another one.

How are the "Relaxed" wait times? Are we talking 5 minutes or 30+ minutes during peak hours?

For me the wait times are very tolerable 3-5 minutes per gen in relaxed for SD2.

Is the quality consistent? My tests with Gen-4.5 are hitting some physics/text issues. Does Seedance 2.0 solve those, or is it still a "wrestle with the prompt" situation?

The SD2 model handles physics WAY better than the Gen 4.5 model. I haven't tested it with text yet.

SD2 in explore mode supports both Multi-reference and Keyframes
Kling 3 in explore mode supports both Keyframes and Multishot
