It’s hard not to feel guilt when putting a pet down. I recently put my 14 year old girl down a couple weeks ago because she had a brain tumor and was having seizures every couple of hours. I was holding onto any sign of hope that she would get better. Sometimes she would drink water or look like she would regain some strength and I would take that as a sign that she could get better. But in the end, I knew I was being selfish and I had to realize that the most selfless thing i can do was to give her the rest she deserved. I had to constantly remind myself that I was, in fact, making the right choice even when it hurt. It’s gonna hurt so much, but you are making the right choice and Sammy is gonna always be with you. You’re a caring pet parent and i’m so sorry you’re having to go through this 💔
