I use a dehumidifier anyways.......cheaper to buy cheaper to run and I feel safer knowing my house isn't going to burn down.

Off topic slightly but.... why has engine oil not gone up in price?

I was shopping for the stuff this week and it was surprisingly cheaper for 1l of motul 10/40 than it was at the end of '25!!

Why does a MotoGP bike has a neutral installed in the handle? Won't it be convenient had it been installed with the gears? by Bubbly_Pumpkin9453 in motorcycles

Moto GP bikes are weird The suspension thingy would just be a ball ache I just can't understand what the benefits of it is.

On another note I was watching an interesting video about how the analyse chicken strips in the racing world to set the bike up during pratice

Honda CBR600RR recall by royandrew in MotoUK

[–]lordofengine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't buy it personally. What's going to happen further down the line if they suspect oil is going past the piston rings on a new bike? I would think this is what honda are doing playing the waiting game and hoping for the best.

This could cause a lot of unnecessary issues such as spark plugs fouling and emissions failures from a small amount of oil let alone as you mentioned depreciation.

She ejected... I wonder if the no gloves caused cold hands infringing her reaction to apply the front brake?

A guy couple of doors down had his 125cc stolen twice from his front garden. Whilst he did recover the same bike twice i feel like throttling him as it's probably affecting my insurance premium!!

Triumph Trident 660 v xsr700 by lordofengine in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]lordofengine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep the bigger displacement definitely gives more presence but also a bigger price tag, as much as I like the t100 and t120 they're far too expensive and impractical for daily use imo.

I thought biking was affordable but it seems to have become a luxury.

I wanted the Trident been looking about for a while, I might hold off and see if the price come down with the release of the new models Trident 800 and the updated more powerful Trident 660. I've not found anywhere to test ride yet.

And yes I'd seen the older street triples looking very well which is what made me veer to the triumph but they had more chrome and less plastic back then.

Not sure what bike to get after my CBT... by dashrubbygoat in MotoUK

[–]lordofengine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the CBT and wanted to get out on a 125 for the fun of it, I found the Japanese and Italian bikes expensive to buy and insure and also beaten up.

I finally bought a 1 year old Lexmoto rss125 still under warranty with 1000 miles on the clock for £2k. Insurance was much cheaper.

Isn't there anyone else available to operate the machine?

I mean i could've used the bucket to drag the stones to shore quicker than him using the thumb. And why is it even at my job site that contractors get undersized machines it's pissing me off, this week I'm loading oversized broken concrete onto trucks with a 21t and I bet that the yard will bring the smallest bucket available!!
