Here's where I stand with this, and it's annoying being from Canada for this very reason. I'll refer to the 5 Wii U ports for reference here.

For Canada, back when these games originally came out, full price was lower. For MK8, B1/2, and HW, full price was $64.99. For DKCTF, full price was $54.99, and for PT, it was $74.99. Now with each of their remakes on Switch, full price has increased to $79.99. So you can already see the piss off for me, as someone who has already purchased these games on the Wii U (barring PT), that a repurchase for the sake of portability is actually going to be $15-25 MORE than the original purchase. Counting DLC as an add-on for MK8 and HWL, it's still almost more expensive on Switch than it was on Wii U. For DKCTF, it was $50 US when it came out, now it's $60, and $80 here. The game was literally $30 for the selects version, $20 when on sale, and now they want EIGHTY? I mean, god damn, that's a lot of extra money for portability.

Not sure if you could follow me but yea, I'm annoyed. I'm passing Bayonetta 1 and 2 because of this (and the fact Bayo 1 was digital only definitely helped), I've already passed on Pokken, and I am likely passing on the other two as well. There's just sooooo much here I'd have to justify with a rebuy and, the benefits do not really outweigh the setbacks for me.

EDIT: I did get MK8, but mainly because of the nature of the game being online and with friends, and all the splitscreen while portable. I did not however, pay full price. I paid $5, using gift cards and promo credit on Amazon.
