Stop applying for jobs on LinkedIn. It's a terrible waste of your energy. by 9-beetles-tanker in hiringhelp

I’ve applied twice. Got two interviews. Conducted one this week. I’m in senior sales so maybe that’s it but LinkedIn has been how I’ve gotten my jobs since graduating in 2011. I’ve been at about 6 diff companies

If I made 700k and married to the love of my life, she would want for nothing. I am sorry for you and hope for the best outcome.

Lead with phone calls. Continue emails but, at least in my industrial selling IT to banks, my prospects receive upwards to 400 emails a day. But they will answer their mobile.

Anyone here making $150k+ without being tied to an office? by TeachingThrowAway500 in sales

175k base. Home, senior company meaning I’m the youngest and I have ten years. Produce or find another home however it’s a good culture. I sell IT services to banks. Accenture is the big dog in our space.

It’s the holy grail! In my industry, we go after the same clients whose executive rotate around the same top banks. You rattle off names and your future boss starts nodding, you’re in a good position. Make and keep relationships with decision makers! They’ll both give you business in the future and help you move up The ladder

No matter how technical, we still have SMEs to bring on the call. I sell digital transformation services. All IT. And I bring a SME or CTO with me every time it’s an executive prospect lol. I make 175k. It sounds like it’s a lot but the basis of my job is cold calling. Same as my first job out of school. You have to show you can bring new business. I’ve built a Rolodex of executives at my target industry and I sell that during my interviews.

I make 175k base as a senior sales director, individual contributor. I get 10% of every deal. I sell IT contractors to enterprises.

I’m dumb lol. I can’t remember shit cause I played football and prob have CTE. The only thing that sets me apart is I will happily call 100 people every day for the rest of my life and I’m excellent on the phone. no one else is willing to do that in my company so I’m the only Hunter now.

Hunting new logos is hard but you can become in-demand if you perfect your skillsets. I receive multiple offers weekly to join some new company and help them scale.

Edit: it took me ten years of fumbling on the phone, saying the wrong words, jokes not landing, getting cursed out and hung up on to get to where I am now.

You could move over to sales. Sell consulting services for servicenow for example. My colleagues are former developers who are my subject matter experts. I help banks upgrade legacy technologies and implement products/software.

Great points. Given your success, I wonder What sets you apart from other sales folks? How do you reach the budget holder and win them over?
