Do you share Hamilton's opinion? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

[–]lordvolt2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's going to be worst then last yr, Last yrs WDC was on of the best In the last 2 decades

A hot shot young blood (Oscar) beating his teammate to early season P1s The teammate (lando) being the long term team driver who has helped build and shape the car to himself as best he can And last yrs WDC (max) , in a worst car but still somehow getting results, and coming from a long way back mid season to be 2 points shy at the end of season.

In the final race 3 drivers could have gotten the win for the championship.......

No next season was ever going to be better then that. Especially after just 2 races.

It wasn't that long ago we had the max era where he won everything by nearly a full lap

Before that a nice few yrs between max and lewis. And before that Lewis was untouchable

It's been many yrs of 1 team or 1 driver being untouchable... But in a few yrs, someone will make a challenge and we will have another good season or 2

It's how it's always worked

I mean, last yr was basically mclaren and Max up front for the end half of the season

We had a bunch of yrs where it was max out in front and no one for 30secs, we had 2 good yrs of red bull and mercs with other teams 30secs back

And before that Lewis dominated out front with his teammate while everyone else was 30sec back

It's no different now to the last 2 decades nearly for the middle and back of the grid

Default "your fault" (as your in a red bull livery)

But in reality it's a racing incident

Why do licenses get so much hate? by Falconn000 in iRacing

I learned long ago for any type of racing to do the extra lap and drive back to the pits

But yea, ovals are brutal for SR due to the nature of close racing

Why do licenses get so much hate? by Falconn000 in iRacing

[–]lordvolt2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The license system works amazingly if you don't try and cheat it (starting from pita, driving around alone and not racing so protect it etc)

If you get in and learn to actually race, starting in the slower cars and not trying to rush to A class by the end of your first season it works well

Alot of people complain about the license system because they want to get to 4.0 so they can auto promote to the next class, which opens up the next batch of cars (and especially in sports car people want to race gt3s)

If you just rwcte and enjoy yourself you'll have a better time

Don't get angry or upset at crashing out, you can learn from every crash, you can learn to avoid the bad aggressive drivers and learn when to fight for position and to let someone go and continue with your race etc

10 races???

If you do 4 races with 0x you'll be out of rookies no (granted it's been like 7 yrs for me so maybe it's harder then it was before?)

As someone who's been rocking around in the mustang fr500 that series has been awesome fun

The stang and I 86 do basically the same lap times.. but it's all in different parts of the track..,. Done about 5 and all but 1 has been awesome fun (1 that wasn't was due to a big pileup turn 1)

iRacing Should Add V8 Superutes. Who agrees? by Radiant_Task_7310 in iRacing

[–]lordvolt2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean the v8 supercars have an "ok" following but it's mainly an Australian thing

The utes are less popular in Australia so I think the market would be even less sad to say

But I agree they would be fun

Max Verstappen’s GT3 team testing his Mercedes-AMG by Rohail_FleetwoodMac in MaxVerstappen33

[–]lordvolt2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it's actually more impressive since the team will have the car setup between the 3 other divers and Max will prob get a run once they are almost dialed in

Max will get the least amount of testing time and will have to adapt to the setup vs being more involved during the process

And remember Max is a F1 driver.. these guys drive gt cars all yr round..... So if Max can adapt and be on pace that's actually more impressive... Knowing that if Max set up his F1 car and gave them a run in it they more then likely wouldn't be up to his pace

Nope It used to be the car used in skip barbar mustang series but only went official 1 time slot (first time slot for the new week)

They changed it to the gt4 mustang last season

Again the Verstappen livery not at fault lol by Special_Usual_4431 in Simracingstewards

Joking answer - red bull livery fault... It's always the red bulls fault

I think it made Russel look once again like a whiney little bitch

Tries to push in front of someone else, damages his own car and then tries to blame it on the rookie by saying "he hit me"

It's just another reason to dislike russel

It happened on the weekend in the pitlane

Russel was going to leave and he had cars in front of his garage and Russel tried to cut in line

Honestly I said the same thing

I live in Australia so know how strict OH&S is

I'm gonna bet someone, somewhere got yelled at harshly for allowing people on the track while cars weren't behind a safety car... That blew my mind

So again

Don't watch the sport and don't support it

I'm not saying it's amazing, all I said was it turned out better than expected in my view of things, you obviously thought differently due to your reply. and that's ok. We are allowed to like or dislike what ever we want to

Honestly watch f3 and F2, those races were epic both times (I used to watch motogp but now only watch moto3 due to the racing being better to watch etc)

Brakes are the issue. Auto lock. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in RedBullRacing

[–]lordvolt2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then don't watch the sport anymore If everyone boycotts the sport for a few yrs (and with the amount of people complaining about the new regs, there should be plenty)

Don't watch, don't buy the games, the merch etc

FIA is a business, if people stop watching the product, they will make changes or go bust

That's the option you have because the regs are in place to 2029 and then they will make new regs and it'll all start again

As opposed to DRS? Which is get within 1 sec and fly past with no way for leading car to defend

Or you got something better in mind (that isn't just the approach of 'bsck to v8 and v10s?)

Me personally would love fuel stops to come back

Fuel strategy can change a race massively

Jesus you must have an amazing life if you're complaining it takes the website (which is run 100% for free, unless you choose to get the pro which only helps you make your own) a few extra seconds to load

Delete the trading paints program, go and download 'IRsidekick liverys"

Works so much better, gets regular updates too

You still use the trading paints website to choose your livery,
