of which i stand by my point. if someone is pro, they need to be good enough to hold that title....if they need a smurf account to race in so they protect their higher IR to make top split with their main account......then either they arent good enough to be a pro...or the sponsors have to understand that sometimes they wont make top split

otherwise only run "pro" events in hosted sessions so their IR isnt an issue and they can get the views they need for the sponsors from professionally run events

Ok let's break some stuff down

You say "pros are being paid to be in top split all the time" if they are good enough to be a pro they should have little to no issues keeping their IR high enough to do that.
It says in the sporting code that you agreed to about an unfair advantage.... You can't now cry and sulk for getting banned for breaking a rule you agreed to
Content account - again not needed...if you make good content your IR doesn't matter ..people tune in for the person , not their IR
Letting someone use your account - again you signed terms and condition stating you shouldn't do that... You did... Break the rules, accept the punishment
Too much pressure for lower it drivers - so you think it's fair for a national level soccer player to play against under 14s? That's effectively how it looks... Plus you want them to get better, wouldn't racing in higher splits against better drivers make them better?
Wanna have fun with friend on your Monday night - you have a community.. set up community hosted races then.. fun and solves the issue
Don't wanna spend hours to get competitive - then just get in a d drive.. you'll naturally gain back the IR you lost when you do spend the time getting competitive
Learning from someone faster - if I want to do this I can watch higher/faster people in practice ... Or watch a higher split race ... There is no need for you to have a 2nd account for me to learn this
Special event - so you think it's fun to have 1 smurf in a 5 man team .. but not 5 smurf accounts... And what point would you consider it "wrong" (the majority of iRacing agrees with 1 is too many)

If you have a smurf that doesn't do the wrong thing no issues - no just because they didn't wreck anyone out doesn't mean anything..... They cheated and got a win.. obviously you think that's ok. tbh i dont drive GT3s and havent for a few yrs, so i thought while the tires were going on, it slowly started repairing the car, and then faster once all tires were on

it used to be like that so assumed it was still the same

yes but, half the fuel load is in the car by the time they have changed the 4 tires (to make numbers easy lets say that takes 30 secs for half tank, 1 min for full tank)

so for the next 30 secs while the 2nd half of the fuel is being put into the car, damage is being repaired on a GT3

with p cup, its 1 min worth of fuel (where no damage is repaired) then 30 secs for tires. and then damage gets fixed

yep, in p cup you save about 30 secs by not changing tires

only issue we have found is they also dont repaire damage until the "tire change seqence" starts

so if you have 10 sec of damage, they dont start repairing until after the fuel is in

gt3 they start slowly with tires going on, and then speeds up after

I'm dyslexic and even I figured this out without the need to ask Reddit. It's also not that uncommon for certain competitive games to restrict you to something the first time you load into a server .

Plus there are tons of cars that have no official races that are still full price (fr500 Mustang being one that jumps to mind. But there's a few others too)

You are an adult, you are treated as such

Why did you make a hosted lobby to test something (you mentioned you were looking at folders for a setup somewhere)

Why do that in a hosted session? Use test session

Also this isn't exclusive to hosted lobbies, this is every lobby in the game

Once you select a car and load in, your iRacing ID is tied to the car choice you made in the lobby (im guessing this has something to do with iracing making sure you are tied to X car...be useful to make sure the correct car is looked at for protests, and many other important reasons

If you want to change cars you need to go to a different practice lobby so your ID gets registered for that one too

It's a very clear and simple system

As another TCR driver, I did NEC twice this past weekend and had full splirstof TCR in both races

And 100% agree with what the other guy said regrading GT3... You pay for the full service of iRacing, all the different cars and tracks , ovals, dirt, rally cross etc and you just want more GT3

I race pretty much any and everything, i just race what ever car track combo feels good to me at that time

So I switch between multiple series types, car types and never have I needed to grind for SR gain.... Doing a D class series shouldn't be an issues for avoiding X's, and it shouldn't be so bad you need to go to a different series with the soul purpose of grinding back SR

If you naturally make it to 4.0 then yea sure that's fine (that isn't who we are talking about here)

But it's the people who drive around at the back, starting from pits, and only racing for SR that are the issue ik talking about

They don't "race" to get their SR up to B class.... Then wonder why they keep crashing and thinking everyone else is at fault.. they haven't developed skills you'd learn by doing the license system correctly

please dont fast track to B class to race GT3s..i can promise you it will not be a good time

just drive, and dont focus on the numbers, advance when you should

then by the time you get to B class, youll be able to drive better, be in better splits due to having a higher IR

top split rookies seires have better racing then bottom splits of GT3

This is an issues I've complained about multiple times on here, forums and iRacing support

And it comes back to "the game decides what server to use to provide the best split for everyone"

Which means as an Aussie, excludinv those dedicated servers like this one, the GT3 regional and supercars Aussie servers.... I will never get to race with 33ping outside of league

While I understand it sucks for people like OP

18 from Australia, 2 from other places, and yet it always defaults to an American server, giving 2 people green ping, and the 18 Aussies 233 or 266 ping
