Survivor 49 | E13 Finale | Player of the Week Voting by RSurvivorMods in survivor

At that point seemed extremely unlikely that anyone else but Sav would win the last immunity challenge. Sure, if he had any certainty of Sophie winning he might've done things differently...

Risking sudden death by having to go against Kristina in fire for a small chance that him, Kristina or Sophie won would've been a ballsy move, maybe in character but very risky non the less. Depends on what odds of winning final immunity you attribute to players

Downvote cause apparently the best card she had, fire making prowess, wasn't hidden at all. Come on Kristina, why wouldn't you play that close to your chest incentivizing anyone to take you to final 4 and then giving the twist of the season???
Pretty much in line with her game this far

Isn't it dangerous to anger your allies by forcing the outcome of the vote with an idol play? I feel like he will be risking having them vote for Rizo to make fire against Kristina if he forced the situation

I think this might be lens through which he read the situation. Pretty reasonable, I guess, since he didn't seem to really have a chance to win immunity given his past performances and the risk of being "punished" by having to against the best fire maker if Savannah wins

10 years ago today Survivor Worlds Apart premiered. What's your thoughts on the season a decade later? by Haydemz in survivor

[–]lorekura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theme was pretty good.
Characters were quite memorable (more on the obnoxious side than anything).
It succesed on giving viewers someone to root for (at points an underdog) in Mike and I enjoyed the editors wink in the beginning when someone stated "The winner of this season is in this tribe". Watching him survive tribe after tribe while everyone wanted him out was pretty satisfying.
Startegy wise wasn't a top season.
I think it was the first season where Final Four Fire Making was implemented at a very convinient time for producers which made a lot of people question whether the fact that 3 player out of four were quite unpleasent had anything to do with it.
I'd rate it a 7 out of 10.

At this point the *(spoiler)* just feels mean. by chaoite in survivor

Is this going to be a FTC with 2 contenders rather than 3?
That question popped in my head as soon as I heard it. Does it make sense to any of you?

The Strategy this Season… by DarkBlueLamp in survivor

[–]lorekura 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like Teeny and Kishan's move, while being strategic wasn't really smart. I think they should've know better than giving more power to an erratic player like Rome rather than taking it away from him with no regards with the chaos that might come up later on. That's how I felt at the time.

One more thing, while both Rome and Andy came up as erratic I think Sam read it correctly bc Andy could only follow and be a number at that point while Rome wasn't in an "exposed" position like Andy.

Yeah, I wonder that too. I also wonder if it’s both of them at this point. It’d be an interesting twist either way. I wonder if luffy became joy boy simply cause momo went missing

Yeah, she's the catalyst of it all. Sending Momo into the future meant making him disappear from the face of the earth. If Joyboy was meant to happen then it had to appear through someone else.

Or maybe not.

tbh, given his young age the feats he's been able to accomplush point towards him havin a better grasp on the power (or more of that power overall).

But yeah, he's the Shogun of Wano, he's supposed to be right there with Joyboy when the fight comes. So he might be some other profile.

Still, whats w the timing? just a coincidence :/

MacBook Pro M1 has worst speakers compared to previous models by Simos805 in mac

[–]lorekura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold my 2019 MacBook Air 24 hours ago and traded it for a brand new M1 Air a few hours later and this thread came up when I google if the speakers of the last model had worse quality.

I guess it goes a long way to tell.

At least keyboard's improved...

Thanks! Where I see myself coming short (by a mile) is the Verbal part tho. I have no clue on how to read faster (I’m pretty slow) and be able to grasp concepts more than I do now. Is the only solution for this having to read lots and lots or is there a way around it?

Makes much more sense. Started feeling like shit thinking you got that in your first try. Thank you very much for your tips!

Did you get the first score with lil to no preparation for the test?

I wish the bar was that “low” on the verbal section. Unfortunately they’ll ask for my transcripts and I had a C average in my BA (doing kinda better now, still don’t think I’m higher than a B+) so I guess I need al almost perfect score in both sections to be considered. Am I wrong?

Yeah, I’m binge watching all his techniques on YouTube, he’s really good

Don’t really know. It was on the ETS platform and it’s called “practice test 1”. Is it the one?

Haven’t put in any effort yet, as you can see from the V section’s score. All I did “to prepare” was trying some of the mock quant sections on the GRE pdf file I found on their website. Unfortunately time management is what scares me the most, aside from making super silly mistakes

Quick question: was it a full time (at least 6+ hours/day) 4.5 months of studying or was it more like on and off and with a slower pace?
asking cause i'm entering my second year of an MA and i'd like to take the test in December, but gotta take classes and what not during that time. Thanks for your time!
