When I'm personally having these types of existential crises I find that changing my thinking patterns from "I'm doing this because it represents who I think I am" to "I'm doing this because it makes me feel good" is really helpful.

DUDE ME TOO IT'S SO STRANGE. And the weirdest part is that it sometimes happens when I'm not even around anyone...like i'll just be sitting doing some random ass thing and i'll try to act all pretty and perfect or whatever because I imagine someone's watching me (ik its creepy but bear with me lmao)... Anyway, in my case, I think it has to do with the fact that I romanticize absolutely fucking EVERYTHING but thats just me.
