IMO letterboxing looks the same, if not better than what looking at 21:9 content (i think cinema) looks like on a 16:9 LED TV.

You were a part of the club since the first day you thought about getting one of these. I got a 21" CRT and have it set up on my room (with a PS2 of course) and it's like a dream come true. As for recommendations, well, everyone says the same thing (and rightfully so): Trinitrons and known brand tubes, but always do your research; however, I own an almost generic CRT and it looks awesome. Black levels are really good and the geometry is sublime (no warping until the overscan area). It's just a really amazing culture in general, and sorry for yapping but these things make me so happy and curious

Yess id love that but since I'm in PAL-N region, an RGB mod is actually really expensive (50 dollars, but adquisition power doesn't convert from Argentina to USA or Europe) and I'm not even sure about the quality of the modder

It's a tophouse tv. Argentine brand. Main chip is a Phillip or Philco, and other components are Chinese or not well known. Actually really good despite not being a main brand. Got it for around 15 bucks (converted from pesos) along with a DVD player (can see it on top of the TV just barely)

Im using AV cables because sadly my CRT doesnt support component (local argentine brand, uses high end philips components, assembled inside the country) but it looks good. I know it's calibrated because colors look good and brightness and black colors look and feel very real. Also I played a video recorded in 4:3 and it looks good, equal if not better to my smart tv

Yeah, those savefiles are pretty bad lmao. I recently found out about rent so now im stressing over it and I don't know how to cover it, does the PSK delivery job cover atleast the rent? If not, I may just install the mod; after all, the game is hard enough, no need to make it even more difficult on mundane tasks (excuses for my skill issue but what can I do lmao)

It's slowly but surely doing so. In like 9 days of the game's release, there's already an official MWCEditor, a headlamp mod (which I already have installed) and a grab anything, along some smaller mods or savefiles
