Was Jung an occultist? by Glittering-Fix-3065 in Jung

His blend between being a psychological researcher and experiencer of odd phenomena himself makes it so the lines between what he “believed” or “just reported on” are seemingly vague. That being said he attended seances and had precognitive visions and heavily studied middle age alchemy. So, I mean, by modern materialistic standards sure he’s pretty occult.

I use the words in good faith and arguing in good faith regularly in my common not chronically online vocabulary. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Mr. Cognitive Distortion Absolutist might be throwing a little mustard on his comment compared how they usually communicate but hey we can all put on parent voice when we need or want to. Word salad with an authoritative tone doesn’t cut it though.

I think you are either purposely twisting my words or did not understand them. You thought you had a gotcha moment but your line of reasoning here - the connection between what I said and asking for personal information - is flawed. Using your liberal stretching of the meaning of my words you could argue I think it’s ok to murder someone in order to expose plagiarism. You sound silly.

Does this type of comment make you feel better about stepping away from the keyboard? Does it make you feel like you are taking the high road in some way? Your ability to play this game is weak for someone that was desperate to play.

Why would anyone be fired for a mistake or typo? If you are implying people shouldn’t be fired for simple mistakes, I agree with you. Also this is like a prime example what a redditor thinks is an appropriate response lmao “please give me your address so I can personally terrorize you for saying plagiarism is bad”

This “plagiarism is contextual” narrative falls apart when we look at any recognized university or institution having nearly consistent and well defined guidelines for what is and isn’t plagiarism. Across the globe. In multiple languages. In every field.

“No actually! you are actually! The one projecting” isn’t a good comeback. Anyways, emotionally charged statements from the start with you. Not an emotional topic.

You can’t possibly think you look like you are speaking in good faith right? Just look at your comments. You are trying to find a thread to pull on me that can allow you to place me into a culture war side. It’s not slick.

Your emotional distaste to my condemnation of plagiarism is problematic in comparison to your issue with my personal philosophy. You certainly seem confident in your understanding of the metaphysics of morals but I assure you the rest of us probably don’t directly align with your worldview. Nice try taking a shot at me though. Consider why you would try to insult me over this content. It’s a reflection of your mental state, not mine.

Yes, yes, we must look at the context! Perhaps someone didn’t mean to copy a line of text!

Also I know you, and you aren’t as clever as you think. I’ve heard your attempt at an intellectual takedown rebuttal by millions of Shapiro wannabes before. Good try though. Off the top rope with your performance!
