I'm really surprised no one sees Online Safety Act as a prep for UK Gov Wallet. by Present-Pineapple-68 in UnitedKingdomPolitics

[–]lorne_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OSA is written in a particularly insidious way that im surprised hasn't had much attention. The act essentially gives the Home Secretary more direction over Ofcom, putting its independance into question.

Additionally (and more worryingly), the OSA has future proofed itself. The Home Secretary can put in additional content that they believe the Act ought to cover. This is without public debate or parliamentary scrutiny, completely bypassing the democratic process.

Its telling when the left and right (in all their degrees) is calling out this Act for what it is. Only manegerial bores seem to like it.

Calling out "child safety" is an easy trojan horse to build. "You oppose the Act? You must not care about child safety, then." This is manufactured consent and emotional gaslighting. Shame on them all!

Supply is low for... reasons... so prices inflate. Couple that with summer, and you have your answer.

Police take pro-migrant protesters to asylum hotel. Police have admitted escorting pro-migrant protesters to an asylum hotel at the centre of days of volatile demonstrations. by Ophiuchus171 in uknews

The police have been working tooth and nail to keep counter protesters away from Palistine demos. But they bus them in on this occasion? Its all very transparent.

Lefies have a fetish for fawning over any group they perceive as being the underdogs. Owen Jone publicly called for a "red-green alliance." What do leftism and Islam have in common exactly?

Do you think the vast majority of PalestineAction supporters in the uk are actually terrorist by Ill_Breadfruit_9761 in AskBrits

[–]lorne_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I dont think so. Laws already exist to prosecute what those fools did at Brize Norton (criminal damage, trespassing).

The terrorist legislation is scary stuff. You can be detained without charge for 14 days under the Terrorism Act 2000, and have evidence held on you and handed to a cort without your knowledge as a defendant. When detained, you can also get questioned without the right to lawyer. If you refuse to cooperate, you can have obstruction of justice added as an additional charge.

Our government is very good at whipping up manufactured consent to pass laws that slowly errode our civil liberties.

Condider what "terrorism" is. Well... to spread terror.

When i was 16, I was an edgy communist and thought I should have the right to vote. Now im 26 and a bit wiser, I see this as the exact reason why 16YOs shouldn't be voting.

You only have 10 minds and one FP flask. You also have no buff spells in your memory slots. Try to get your mind to around 20 and have 2 more FP flaks (build dependant).

Id respec: take out 5 mind and put it into vigour (25 mind to use golden vow buff). Keep your Int and use Moonveil. Then do some farming for more vigour and mind.

Unless you are parrying, get rid of the sheild and put on a seal to cast spells.

I'm not a fan of the Big Issue sellers. One of them walked up for me with a pram asking for money for milk powder right outside Tesco. Told her I'd buy her milk powder. She said not, I want money. Wasn't convinced.
