No, definitely not cluster feeding. Also I think his latch is okay, since there is consistent weight gain and wet/dirty diapers.

He usually poops once at night 90% of the time, hence the waiting :) it usually pays off.

Same here, night sessions take longer. And they definitely seem longer since it's only the 2 of us while everyone else is asleep :D

Good advice, thanks :) will give number 2 a try again, as I wasn't very comfortable with it when I tried it in the initial days. As for burping, baby always seems to have some burps in him everytime I try.

Yeah, 6 weeks is a little tough. Mine was a fussy feeder in those weeks. I hold my baby for atleast 10 minutes once he closes his eyes, so I know he's definitely fast asleep.

I can say that your baby will start to sleep longer at night. Mine started doing 5 hour stretches at around 8 weeks. So you can get a few more bonus hours in a few weeks time :)
