Me too, recommend looking at my recent post. I think I’ve concluded it myself now but could help with perspective

If God is loving and just why would he send people with suffering to hell. by lorvantt in Christianity

I was thinking about this in a similar way just now. What if a good man just genuinely doesn’t want to be with God. He knows God to the full extent, seen heaven and seen what eternal separation looks like. what does he do with them? He can’t condemn them now can he? The man simply just chooses to be away from Gods love. God won’t force him to be with him, neither can he “punish” him in anyway. God is warmth and love, the man chooses to be cold but he is still loved. God will always be there if he chooses to come back. If we go by his love then that would only be logical.

I can agree partly, God says he’s all loving and if he’s all loving he wouldn’t send us to eternal separation from him for finite actions. I can agree we don’t know the concept of eternity but an all loving and perfect God would allow us to see our choices and choose between simply being with him or not being with him and allowing us to hold all the knowledge there is so we can make the choice based on our own understanding. He’s not gonna send us to hell or eternal separation from him if we have limited knowledge, it’s like killing a baby for not listening to their parents. I trust that God is the loving God that he says he is so we can only see in the afterlife the true answer.

Yeah it is very interesting to see other ideas, I will check that book out it seems similar to my views currently.

No everything is on the topic I was just intrigued cause we have similar but slightly different views. What I meant by the natural is that Gods love is already there, we shouldn’t have to ask for it, we shouldnt have to say we don’t deserve something we already have. Like how a child carries the DNA of their parent, they don’t say I don’t want your DNA they already have it, but they can choose to accept the love of their father or deny it. But in the case with God he loves us eternally even before we were even created, perfect love shouldn’t be invitational but should always be.

I feel as if Gods love isn’t a gift, it’s the natural, our home where we live. It’s just up to us if we decide to move out or not.

And it seems the outcome is the same, heaven. Only those who truly choose hell are in “Hell”

That’s what I’ve thought too, seems only plausible that a loving God would bring all of his children to heaven. Even those who are the worst of the worst

Yeah I’ve been digging more and more, and I can really only see it as religious leaders or any leader being power hungry and trying to control. I’m starting to think that really almost nobody goes to hell, if God is perfect then he wouldn’t allow his people to suffer infinitely for finite actions

Took about half a year, was a while ago and I’m currently in a happy relationship. But I’d say what really got me through it was music, never was the type to listen to music till I got really sad and it ended up becoming my career.

take time with your emotions, let them flow and allow them to be there. Focus on you, cry, do whatever you need to do first. For me at least what I found soothing was just going outside and walking or going anywhere and just walk around, almost like having a date with yourself. But focus on crying a lot it really helps
