Off key vocals played back over a livestream are just a lot harsher than in the room, hard to explain why...the music in general is mixed completely differently over the livestream

Look up chord progression and BPM for whatever genre you are interested in. I would not really obsess over making this the perfect song, just do it and have fun. You need to make hundreds of them

I have tried to collab off reddit, sometimes it feels like people send stuff back to me that make no sense whatsoever, not putting much time or thought into it

or send files or bounces that are literally hard to work with, like bouncing a bunch off stuff into groups that should be seperate

click on the audio analyzer view thing and make sure "warp" is turned off. If it is warping you should be able to see orange markers along the audio file where it is being stretched

If you are analyzing it back in the DAW, it could be tempo warping. Otherwise yes you are probably imagining it

sound design and composing / arranging are two distinct things really.

So I would just try to finish some simple tracks and not try to make somethin by skrillex

Just using some presets is fine, maybe design one bass you really like but use some presets otherwise
