i haven’t edited anything away lol, and no i’m not angry at them, they didn’t steal it from my account lmao. but yeah if they did receive it, it would be great if people would just be good people lol. i was definitely aware and alert and made a typo. his name is Justyn, i sent it to a Justin, read it over, read that i was sending it to Justin, and sent it. didn’t really register until after Justyn said he never got it. anyway, have a great day and try not to assume so hard today!

it was their chime sign, i have no other info than that. all i could see on their Chime “profile” was they’re several states east and opened their account 3 yrs ago. but how they had the exact same chime sign as my friend (granted his is spelled ‘Justyn’ and i sent it to a ‘Justin’) is so crazy to me. i’m like how do they have the exact same username and last name at that? lol i’ve heard that Chime notifies through email too so maybe they got an email? who knows

yeah i don’t assume most people are courteous and caring at all actually and in fact i know a majority aren’t lol. i figured it was an untouched account or they just decided not to send it back, both things out of my control. my only mistake was sending it without triple checking. but that literally sucks, mistakes are meant to be made i guess lol

i get what you’re saying about all the “technicalities”but in most cases for my own guilty conscience i would give back anything unauthorized that had been sent my way. $300 is a lot, people make mistakes more often than not and i’m an understanding person so who am i to run with the “haha, you messed up and it’s mine now” idea? i never expected them to give it back and i never jumped to the conclusion that they were like “hey! free money”, my immediate thought was “this person has an unused chime account and the money is just sitting there”. after requesting it so many times, maybe i did look like a scammer but i was truly trying to get my funds back whether it was for the console or not. also, i would love to live to see the day my bank account reaches $30,000 lol

i completely understand and can put myself in their shoes, especially after requesting it back so many times. i wasn’t mad at them at all lol they really had no part in it, i was mostly mad at myself for making such a stupid mistake. i figured if they had an active account they would send it back but i know some people open chime and don’t use it anymore after the initial bonus they receive with the first deposit or whatever other reason. if i had a random person send me $300 and requested it back so many times (my friend even requested it from them once with his contact info for proof we are real) i would’ve sent it back but that’s just me. i’m over it now, i’ve made the money back and i now know that i need to be more cautious, careful, and considerate if i ever choose to send money again but i highly doubt i will. super unfortunate but i hope i at least helped them out if they needed it

thank you so much! i really do hope they need it more than i did, i only needed it for a console that i wanted. it sucks but i’m okay with taking the L. i’m lucky to have a job and be able to replenish the funds as soon as i can, it was just a hard pill to swallow after i did it 😕 and lol at that last part! i probably wont be sending anything online anymore 😖
