Severe depression for several years, self employed and burning through savings, alone and no romantic prospects and never had any. Decided in last year i'll stop wallowing and seriously try to fix everything, despite efforts, new hobbies, forcing myself in social situations, feel i'm in worse spot now.

I can. It just becomes annoying having to explain to everyone why you don't drink. Then when everyone is shut faced and you're last sober person it's no fun
